I know how that feels! but I am thinking Whitney also. Everyone else has been around, we have seen them acting a bit suspicious, only to discount them a week or three later. We havent seen much of her, a case of out of sight, out of mind? I think Mr DTC is toying with us! |

yeah I believe so "red herring" just shows how it trying to distract us to think the obvious or maybe its not? loads of people wont believe it being the obvious selection Max seemed shifty earlier how he mentioned of Emma's file had nothing important and she wasn't anywhere close to finding out what really happened, saying she was getting quite obsessive over the case notes for trying to prove herself by doing what the other police officers failed to see. why was he being so defensive I doubt hes really all that innocent ? In the new year eve episode when Emma is in the vic and she totally realises what and how Lucy was killed after Dean announces Patrick fell over, that second you see a sudden realization as Emma clocks on looking at the buildings and the picture of patricks house what did she she? which is why I believe Denise is involved.... she didnt see Denise in the vic nor had she been able to chat with her as you've hardly seen any exchange with her or Emma lately, something looks different bout Patricks house in reference to the picture maybe something changed or got covered up ? when Emma left the vic after examining her notes after she clocked on the mystery she rang the killer and said "im glad I caught you....." we saw how Denise rushed back to hers after Patricks fall maybe the urgency of wanting to face the killer herself before going to the police. This is why I think Denise pushed or struggled with Lucy and she fell flew or bumped down the stairs perhaps? I really believe Denise may have focused her anger and frustration out on Lucy, she was already unhappy over her relationship with Ian and how Lucy took up most of his time that she lashed out I do believe this may be an unintentional murder, but I hope my theory stands this seems my most convincing to me so far Edited by niteflyer, 10 Jan 2015, 03:12.

Just had a thought. You know we've all been concentrating on Emma saying "I'm glad I've caught you"... has it been mentioned that Cindy attended the drink at the Vic but left early to see Beth? I think "I'm glad I've caught you" would work really well with the scenario Cindy was in at that time. |

But it's impossible to have your mind changed (by the show) if you think it's Ian as it won't be revealed until the last moment and he also won't be cleared before then. They're not doing a red herring on Ian. It looks like they're getting through Max and Abi as suspects now but there will be more herrings.

I'm thinking the five minutes thing is the most important clue in all this. What if more than one character wanted to teach Lucy a lesson and put her life in danger for 'five minutes' without thinking anything tragic would come of it. I also think Emma looking at the B&B is very important. Patrick was away and Denise later found the place in a mess after 'being broken into'. I think Lucy may have died in there. All this fits together I'm sure of it. |

The pictures emma had were not of the b&b and Patrick hadn't had his stroke and was living at the b&b at the time. |

The picture Emma had was of the Beale's front door. Patrick was on holiday at the time of Lucy's murder so the B and B was empty. Denise discovered it had been broken into a couple of days after Lucy's murder. I'm surprised no one connected this before now. |

That's incorrect. The B&B was fine after Lucy died. It was only when Patrick returned from hospital, months later, that there had been a break-in. |

Great photo. Looks like they've managed to get Sam Strike back as a one-off, and interestingly James Bye is there too. |

Ooh I love that! Another trailer? We are being spoiled. I wonder if it will have similar attributes to the Gods and Monsters one. Lots of new and different faces since then too! Ooh! |

I wonder if Hetti features in it? We know she's been filming this week. There's something quite nice about tying it all up in a similar way to how it started. Something quite full circle about it. |

Just feeling nostalgic about this storyline and depressed that it's going to end soon. So I read though the timeline Eastenders posted for the millionth and 1 time. From reading it now, weird how its the same words but after a couple of episodes you can gain a entirely separate perspective on the timeline. At the beginning of this story before Peter and Lauren got together (which the writers knew they would) there was a significantly placed bonding scene between Peter and Lauren when they both decided to clear Lucy's room out. They did it together when no one else was around, I reckon Peter kept her Jewelery box in that moment. It had sentimental value for peter as they were both involved in drugs. So Peter put all her other belongings in a box which Ian took to a charity shop, but Lucy's box was actually never with her other belongings. Notice how much more defensive he is than the other suspects when Emma digs too deep about it. And he has the motive to do pull that stunt on Christmas day, it's a darker version of Peter no doubt but it can be his way of being spiteful towards Ian treating him like crap. Anyway this can be explained by Peter as he gets into yet another argument with Ian only so that we can realise the Jewlery box is a red herring because Peters not the killer. Leaving us to figure out that its someone who is indeed linked to the Beal's, but linked in a way that is different to how we had originally assumed.. even if it IS actually a family member or a close acquaintance. The jewellery box must be a red herring because it is shining the light off of characters by Denise, Abi, Max, Lola, Billy Lee and Whitney. As they have no reason to have done that if they're nervous of getting caught... Even Ian and Jane's motive isn't intended as a taunt if he's blocked out the event. Can't wait for the trailer. Is it possible to be even more anal about this new one than the last one! Edited by DRAPPLEdreamers1992, 10 Jan 2015, 19:03.

Hi all just read that there are further returns to thr sq Tanya is coming back for "live week" could be her!!! And apparently her and max will be having some heated scenes arguing From the looks of it ... Can't figure out if she is coming back for wedding or make sure the brannings are okay as they have a few fingers pointing at them...? Or she could have found out about lucy and max from abi and indeed be the killer! Sounds silly but never know its probably another red herring... I can't believe how ridiculously exciting I find this?! Haha |

The announcement that Jo Joyner is returning to the show next month only cements my belief that Max is the killer. Tanya would have to be around for the reveal, maybe she will be the one he confesses to? And she will most likely escort Lauren out of Walford in the aftermath. Look, Max has now been placed in direct conflict with Phil with his having Ben sign over the Arches to him. It looks to be a final showdown between Mr. Potato Head Numero Uno (Phil) vs. Mr. Potato Head Numero Deux (Max). Who do YOU think will still be on the show by spring? My money's on Mr. Potato Head Numero Uno. And who could end up with both businesses? Stacey Slater, Ice Skater. Edited by TimWil, 11 Jan 2015, 05:07.
