If he did send Jane, that would explain there snotty sex on the Beales carpet. Ian has been known to turn to sex in a time of stress. I do think Jane was somehow involved, and I wouldn't be surprised if she had been brought back last January with the sole purpose of killing Lucy. |

I have just seen where Jane covers for Lauren. I think that is what it is, Jane covering for the daughter of her friend. Jane knows who did it, its not Lauren, and that is why she was so quick to cover. |

I definitely think Jane knows who did it, and as she is willing to cover for them I think that Les/Pam/Lee/Jay can all be ruled out straight away. |

I don't see why Jane would cover for Cindy. Cindy isn't anything to Jane at all. They've barely spent any time together, she'd just hand her in surely |

I think there's some involvement between Jane and Masood. If Cindy knew what it was, she'd probably use it to blackmail Jane into keeping quiet. Not sure how it all fits together, but I'm sticking with Cindy now. When it was revealed that Jane and Ian would remarry on 19th February, I was sure it would be either Ian, Peter, Jane or Cindy. Cindy is probably the most dispensible in terms of the future of the Beales, having little history with Ian, but is connected enough to have an impact. Jane would also end up with the baby she's always wanted. |

I think Jane could be covering for any of the suspects. Perhaps not for the suspects themselves, but to protect her family. She may not want Bobby, or Ian or Peter for that matter, know that someone they know killed Lucy. |

Blondie08 what is it you see???? In the video? i kept rewinding and ut wont let me stop at eight pint inly does 10 second interval jumps so anniying grerrrrr!!!! I was looking through case file on bbc as well and this video is cut midway there is 1.5 min missing is that what you are referring to?! And the light flashes from left like car approaching and mini flash on middle jumps from 54 to 55:30 immediately split second lights ie someone drove there@ almost midnight... Which means: the cars parked are red herrings? Unless more than 1 culprit... Also means that body was dumped @ that time so could have been killed anytime between then and 822pm but went with jake back to square so confused! |

Hi Mitchells42 it could be... What was your rationale? I had an odd thought but waning now somewhat around the fact he may be desperate for money and may have turned to selling drugs or tried to mug her then realised who it was and then perhaps pushed and killed her accidentally not sure seems far fetched now I have written it! Can you add any weight to it? Thanks |

I also dreamt about the culprit. Only mine was Danny Pink from Doctor Who! |

I had a dream where the culprit was Lee, I saw how it happened and how he moved the body and everything. But halfway through, Lee suddenly turned into Max and Max was the killer. So, even in dreams, I can't call it. |

When Emma looked at her phone again in the pub before she raced outside, she realised that the person, Jane I think that gave Lauren her alibi of saying she didn't go inside Lucy's house, couldn't have seen that. I think that is what Emma saw, that the view wasn't available from where the two said they were. So Jane is covering for Lauren, but why? Lauren did look surprised when Jane said that. |

Jane is covering for Lauren in a roundabout way but she is doing so out of a sense of self preservation, I think. If the police then interview Lauren and want to know why she was there and whether she went inside or not, Lauren will volunteer Jane as an alibi and that would eliminate Jane from suspicion as well. Masood has not confirmed that Jane was in all night and her car wasn't there when Lauren left the party although Ian's was. I would imagine that this was when the party was winding down (as they had all left the house and Jay had returned to the Square) so I would guess that Lucy was already dead at this point and perhaps being moved hence Jane's car was not there. It seems clear that Lauren didn't go into the house as Ian or Denise would have heard her ring the bell. I think Lauren is telling the truth, she wanted to drink and wanted to find Lucy to help her not do so. |

There's really no way it's Lauren - is there. |

I'm still none the wiser as to what Max and Emmas last conversation was about. "It's not there!" "What isn't?" (snarls) "You know!" I could see it being Jane's car, but if Max is trying to act innocent like Emma obviously thinks he is, why would he be covering up for Jane? The only people Max would cover for are his daughters, surely? |

One thing that is bugging me is: why on earth would Lauren go to Lucy for help with stopping herself from having a drink? Lauren has a bloody short memory if this is the case. Can she not remember how Lucy spiked her orange juice with vodka in order to try and snatch Chewbacca Branning from her about a year or two ago? |

Technically I don't quite get how, if it is Jane, Emma worked it out simply because her car wasn't visible in Fatboy's video. It could have been moved and parked further down the road, just out of shot. I've given up trying to work it out. I just hope that when the truth is finally revealed, we can read back through this thread to see what we picked up and take comfort in the knowledge we weren't talking out of our backsides. |

That's why I think she must have realised more than that. Even if she knew Jane had gone somewhere in her car, it wouldn't prove she had killed Lucy. If that's all the evidence she had then I'd expect Jane to make up a story about where she'd gone and why she lied. |

Emma was dying at the time, she was confused and disorientated. I wonder if she thought she was talking to Jane? |
