If the killer is Ian, Adam woodyat surely would have been told from the start. Hmm..
We have just started the second series of Broadchurch here, and in an interview, the actress (Olivia ???) who plays the police officer said that she knew who it was from the beginning. This upset Dr Who, because he didnt know and he didnt know she knew.

So DTC could be trying to deflect pressure from whoever the murderer is, but saying no one but a select handful do know, and that person could have known all along.

Either way, they must know now, because they will be filming for after "that week".

If during the course of the day Lucy got into more than one scrap would the last person to push her down be the one to blame????

It would be whoever dealt the fatal blow. I doubt they could tell that from the examination of Lucy's body that was carried out (or else we would surely have heard "three blows to the head" or something by now rather than "head trauma") so in this case, the last blow will probably be deemed the fatal one.

I doubt it'll be Max from the fall in the car lot, anyway.

If it's Ronnie and/or Charlie, this show really will hit a stumbling block. Talk about sensationalising things.

Interesting! It seems that it is an object or something like that. I hope it's not a jokey thing and is an actual clue.

I'll be looking out for this. I hope it doesn't make things obvious as I'd hate the murderer to be given away at this stage. I'm sure whoever invented the clue won't want that either though, and it will give us something else to speculate about.

Y'all have convinced me its Whitney, Ian is Bianca's uncle,so blame will be passed and his growing friendship with Carol torn asunder, but we can only bear a certain amount of bullying so a terrible thing was done for a decent reason

So either Lucy was hit with the jewellery box causing it to open, or it was already open when she died. Denise had arrived home before Lucy died, so either she knows something, she left the house for some reason, or she managed to stay asleep without hearing anything. Even if it didn't take long to kill Lucy, someone would have had to move her body and clean the blood up.

It also looks like the murderer did leave Cindy the jewellery box as they'd know the significance of it. Why would you do that if you killed her by accident and regretted it?

Surely if it's Cindy then that's totally given the game away. I'm not sure how I'd feel about it being her, she's not someone casual viewers will care about and she's been very underused this year.

Having said that, I knew there was a reason she could feel Lucy in the house. Perhaps that's where she killed her.

If she left the music box there, she wouldnt have reacted the way she did. I dont think it is Cindy, but then, why else has she been bought back? Cant just be to keep the Mitchell/Non Beale line going.

Lucy kept her cocaine in the jewelry box, right?

Perhaps Peter hit Lucy over the head with something, and then, just as she was dying, he opened the box and stole the cocaine.

I can see it being an accidental knock on the head but a fatal one all the same. Maybe there isn't a sinister side this? I can perhaps can envision peter being there - knowing that Lucy was in her last moments - thus he played the music to her. Maybe someone else had found this out and is angry, taunting peter. Orrr it was a message from peter to Ian to do with lack of awareness. Just a twin/sibling theory mind. However it's likely that this rules out ben, jay, the Cokers, Whitney, Lauren in general. Hence Lucy must have died in her house.

What if EMMA left the gift under the tree for Cindy as a way of letting her know that she knows she killed Lucy?

The theories are endless.
