Quite sure now that Lucy was killed at home, or at least knocked unconscious during a fight regarding - or even involving - the music box she kept her cocaine in.

Unless Lucy was knocked out, the person who caused it was shocked by this turn of events and quickly helped Lucy into their car while she drifted in and out of consciousness. Lucy then died on her way to the hospital (nicely mirrored by Emma's death), the car's driver panicked and dumped the body.

My money is still firmly on Jane. I'm quite sure she'd be physically strong enough to help a semi-conscious Lucy into her car, and to drag her dead body out of it.

On a side note: was I the only one to go and read a synopsis of the musical Oklahoma tonight, just to make sure the real clue wasn't in the story behind the music rather than in the box surrounding it? For my own sanity, 19 February cannot come fast enough!

Either she was killed by that Jewellery box OR she went into that box to fetch a little cocaine and someone killed her from behind. I have a feeling either Ian or Jane both know more than they are letting on regarding the drugs.

Intriguing.

Say it is drug related, someone knew she was on drugs and wanted them for themselves?
they went into Lucys room, started searching, (or laid in wait), Lucy went in was getting them, when killer walks up behind and POW, no more Lucy.

But if she was killed in the house, how did they get her out, without anyone seeing?

Is Nick Cotton a suspect?

Ben - its the black envelopes all over again....

Denise has moved further up my list tonight. I just watched Lucy's last episode again. The last three scenes show Denise getting home and Lucy leaving, Denise upstairs phoning Libby, and then Lucy after the murder. It's implied that the time gap is between the last two scenes, but it could actually be before we see Denise. Denise turns round a picture of Ian and Lucy, and it's suggested she doesn't want to see Ian because she's just decided to leave him, but maybe she doesn't want to see Lucy. It could just be foreshadowing Lucy's death and have nothing to do with Denise, but it could also show that Denise knows she's dead.

I've lost track of which car belongs to who. Whose are these cars outside the Beale house when Denise get back?

Thanks, so by the time Lauren went to the house Ian had gone out and returned, and Jane's car had definitely moved suggesting she'd gone out at some point.

Has anyone found the whole of the next episode anywhere? In the clip I've seen neither car is there which suggests they were both moved after Fatboy's video was filmed, or it could have been the next morning.

What if the noise is from an icecream van... And it went past the common v early in the morning? As in Lucy was dumped whilst she was still alive but lifeless which could be why "it's still murder"

What if fatboy helped Denise move the body or cover up?

My first thought was that it was the musical jewellery box.

However, I did then think is it an ice cream van and that the musical box has been one of the big red herrings.

I think it was definitely the jewellery box, we checked the scene where Ian prises it open, it was the same tune as on the NTA's.

Feel like mentioning the angle they decided on take on Lee last night and his reaction when he discovered Linda was raped. They made a point of emphasizing that Lee couldn't look Linda in the eye and appeared very solidary and withdrawn throughout the crux of second episode. I also actually didn't envisage the kiss on the cheek he gave Linda to be a source of comfort, rather it might have been a raw display of guilt.
Then in the first episode when punching Dean in a sea of garbage... not your average Eastend pub brawl. Symbolism perhaps? Was at the time wondering if he couldn't stand seeing a reflection of himself in Dean? He didn't want any association with someone that was a rapist because it conformed that they're both players - having been continuously accused of this, even before Dean became overly obsessed with catching a girl.

Lee is still a suspect after all.. But his reason for being one is hazy. The only motive we have is he might have been rejected by Lucy or he might have been involved in a fight between her and Whitney.
I'm not saying I believe Lee did it - cause I don't. But I don't think they've wholly portrayed his reaction to the rape out of grief or compassion alone. The writing for his character shows continuity to the Beal case so I would be watching his behaviour in the weeks running up just in case.

Lee's been weird in all of this.

Whilst Dean struggles with relating to women, to Lee this comes naturally. He seems to get very close and intimate to whatever girl with whom he happens to be involved. He met Lucy, and within hours, they were intimate. After that encounter, she binned him, and he walked out of the Beale house, saw Whitney and started snogging her. When Lucy showed an interest again, he dumped Whitney (without telling her). The last night of Lucy's life was spent with Lee.

Even with such a short association, Lucy's death should have affected Lee. More than shock, he'd have felt some sort of upset in view of their intimacy. He even went to the trouble of looking for her when she didn't show at the party.

Yet a few months later, when he rocks up in Walford, it's all about Whitney, following her, sniffing around her, literally stalking her. Apart from Lee's revelation as to having seen Billy arguing with Lucy, one would be forgiven for thinking them passing acquaintances.

And for all Whitney's supposed to be Lee's girlfriend, they're seldom seen together.

Lee wants his happy family, like what his parents have had. The little wife who needs a bit of protecting as she is a bit innocent naieve, but he can shower with affection and love who might love him back, the kids to also make the picture perfect. It doesnt matter who fills the role. He is lonely and a bit PTSD.
Lucy filled this role a bit better than Whitney as she was less damaged goods, but when she dumped him the first time, then Whitney was a good stand in. Lucy was good at honing in on peoples weakness' and you can bet she figured him out real fast.

He hasnt seen much of Whitney cos she hasnt been around, but then, we havent seen that much of Lee either.

The back one is Ian's, I recognise the numberplate from the week Mick was arrested for kerb crawling. Masood's is bigger, as it's a people carrier. Ian's is an estate.

I can't fill in all the blanks, but for now I'm sticking with Jane as my killer.

Dom said there was a clue in the December 19th episode, which shows Fatboy's phone video close up- and of course the absence of Jane's car.

After Lucy's death, Jane says 'I can't do this' and tells Shabnam she doesn't deserve forgiveness. She's a wreck.

On Christmas Day, Lauren says Emma has told her to go to the police. Jane looks panicked- until Lauren says she was outside, as if for a second she thought Lauren knew. And when the others are discussing the music box, here is Jane:

The producers have made a point of always showing Jane's car in the same place- except in Fatboy's phone video. It may not be of relevance, but there's also this alleyway conveniently where her car is parked.

I'm not convinced Lucy was killed with the jewellery box, though it's possible Jane took it with her when she left Walford. I've checked thoroughly and it doesn't appear in the Good Friday episode, and after Lucy's death this is what her dressing table looks like:

One thing I can't explain is that everyone, bar Abi and Max, seems normal until they hear Lucy's died. It's like they didn't know they'd killed her until the following day- though how that would work is beyond me.

As I've said before I can't put all the pieces together, but I think I've put enough of it together now to read back through the thread after the 19th and know I wasn't far off. Hopefully.

I need a life.
