Surely if it's Cindy then that's totally given the game away. I'm not sure how I'd feel about it being her, she's not someone casual viewers will care about and she's been very underused this year.

Having said that, I knew there was a reason she could feel Lucy in the house. Perhaps that's where she killed her.
I think that Cindy feeling Lucy in the house is because she was killed there, but not that she, herself, killed her. Cindy is her sister. Family sometimes feels the presence of loved ones when they pass. When Cindy made that statement, I immediately thought, this is where she died.

I hadn't noticed that alleyway before, it must got down the back of the café. If Jane was moving her body though, I think it would be easier to go to the car than down there.

Where was the jewellery box the last time we saw it before Lucy died? I can't remember if Ian moved it when he found the drugs, or just took the drugs and left it where it was.

I wouldnt have thought they were that close. If Peter had said that, I could understand, but not Cindy.
They didnt really spend that much time together, and when she arrived, Lucy treated her more as an inconvenience rather than someone she wanted to spend time with.
Just livin' in perfect New Zealand!

I read somewhere in the fatboy video someone says something about abi if you turn the sound up high. Is that true?

Fatboy does an impression of Jay, saying 'I love you Abi'. Jay gets mad and tries to stop the recording, which is when Lauren appears in the background.

Other clues...

8 Down - FRAME. (frame someone?)

18 Down - VET. (guess who wanted to be a vet?)

23 Across - STOP IT.

I LOVE YOU written in pink, a woman?

So...I LOVE YOU LEE STOP IT?
Just followed the link to this post from the other thread.

One of the answers that is part out of the picture would appear to be sister... Cindy.

I can't fill in all the blanks, but for now I'm sticking with Jane as my killer.

Dom said there was a clue in the December 19th episode, which shows Fatboy's phone video close up- and of course the absence of Jane's car.

After Lucy's death, Jane says 'I can't do this' and tells Shabnam she doesn't deserve forgiveness. She's a wreck.

On Christmas Day, Lauren says Emma has told her to go to the police. Jane looks panicked- until Lauren says she was outside, as if for a second she thought Lauren knew. And when the others are discussing the music box, here is Jane:

The producers have made a point of always showing Jane's car in the same place- except in Fatboy's phone video. It may not be of relevance, but there's also this alleyway conveniently where her car is parked.

I'm not convinced Lucy was killed with the jewellery box, though it's possible Jane took it with her when she left Walford. I've checked thoroughly and it doesn't appear in the Good Friday episode, and after Lucy's death this is what her dressing table looks like:

One thing I can't explain is that everyone, bar Abi and Max, seems normal until they hear Lucy's died. It's like they didn't know they'd killed her until the following day- though how that would work is beyond me.

As I've said before I can't put all the pieces together, but I think I've put enough of it together now to read back through the thread after the 19th and know I wasn't far off. Hopefully.

I need a life.
In complete agreement with this. I've thought it was Jane for a while now.
Massive thanks to NickM for this wonderful signature! :)

The showbiz guy from Sky news said when reporting after the NTAs that 'who killed Lucy will be told in a 45 minute special flashback.

I didn't realise it was going to be 45 minutes long!

I read it was something about abi leaving?

I still think Jane. I'm torn whether she did it or is covering but I think she met emma

Okay, I've just realised something a little spooky.

Let's take a moment to compare how Lucy looks in the car lot, and how she looks on Walford Common.

Surreal.

In the car lot picture? I could see that, but I thought she was just wearing pantyhose.

I saw that too! I suppose we all have a "natural" laying down on the floor pose!

Another thing I read somewhere but have not found any proof: did DTC say that the killer would be at the NTAs? And Cindy and Jane were not there? I am thinking even if he did say that and those 2 were ill then it doesn't mean anything ie they were supposed to be there... Any thoughts?

Abi is looking too obvious unless they under estimated the whole audience? Oh u don't know too confusing now!!

The Carters did, they all took turns in killing her and all played a role in covering it up.

Every time I start thinking that a character is too obvious, I start going down a really convoluted thought process that reminds me of the scene with the poison in The Princess Bride. Is that character really too obvious? Or are they meant to be too obvious so that we will think "that's too obvious, it will never be them"? Then we would immediately discount that person as the killer and be like "WHAT?!" when it's revealed. Of course, at this point EVERY suspect has been so suspicious that I feel like, no matter who it is, it will be obvious.

For example, one of the reasons people say it's not Peter is because they have announced that the actor is not returning. But, could they have announced that, knowing that people would come to that conclusion and really the information was released to throw people off that scent?

Peter isn't on my list of top suspects but that's one of the examples I could think of. It seems like there has been a very restricted release of information, so why would they even let that tidbit out?

I've spent waaaayyyyy too much of my life thinking about this, obviously.

Randomnumbers18 I agree your post completely! I too have spent too much time analysing this fake crime hahha! :) some of my top suspects got eliminated billyand Lola Danny! Now I'm hoping its lee or Whitney or Cindy and if it's outside of the official suspects then Tanya or Phil!

I just had another random thought... What if Shabnam is an under cover detective or investigator? They said there is a secret to be revealed about her.. And she is collecting newspaper clippings and scraps from the looks of it, including the ROT IN HELL note that Whitney left for Lucy at the funeral so maybe she solves it or reveals the killer!!
