Who Killed Lucy?; All the theories

Four lines across Lucy's forehead in the promo picture - which shows her hand prints on glass from the revelation trailer. So what are the odds this is a clue... do four people know what happened? Like the driver, the killer... and maybe the people closest to them who are protecting them with a false alibi.
Just mentioning that in the older trailer four people were seen on the square positioned around the bench where the video took place. This is seen too in the first few seconds of the "There's a killer amongst them" trailer. hmm.

I think the handprint on her forehead could suggest that it's out of Ian, Jane, Cindy or Peter.

The four lines seem to be pointing to Abi (red herring), Jane, Ben (bluff) and Whitney (culprit).

I desperately need 19th to come round very quickly I'm driving myself and my husband mad!!! Poor man! I kind of feel like you know when you really need a wee and you are neeeeearly home but the last 10 minutes is the worst!!!!

I wonder 'Police Cross' has any significance to it. They seem to be featuring different suspects on different days. Denise was on there yesterday.

Also, I wonder if Peter's random karaoke choice of 'The Woman in Red' has any connection to Denise. Or Abi.

Police, Lucy, Cross makes me think Emma, Lucy, Tanya.

Common denominator?

Max.

I don't have a fucking clue anymore and it's just making it 100% more exciting. I was so frustrated at the 25th.

Mm yeah agree with "The woman in red" song choice. Could be to do with Denise and her drinking habit of late. Last episode she ordered a double brandy (which was on the house- expensive) without so much as blinking.
Or it could link to Lauren as a recovering alcoholic, symbolizing Peter's association with her & that Lauren's disappeared from the 14 suspect list. BTW im confused as to where Lauren was tonight. I know it was all about Dean and the Carters but Peter didn't even have a throwaway line to say his almost fiancee couldn't make it, it was out of character for him to hang to gossip about Linda, thought he had more class than that. But I digress.
In the trailer when the bottle caps come off and Abi's wearing her signature red coat which was at first disputed by people in the first Lucy trailer. Abi was standing in the middle of the crowd and a lot of people thought it was a for shadowing clue. Add that to her positioning on the promo pic. You would assume all the Beal's would be dead centre, but prob just reading too much into it.

I think the song Delliah heard being sung in the karaoke tonight is a big clue to the plot. Listen here to the full song. The Lyrics I think will describe several events which I think will have happened to Lucy. I even think the killer might start apologising to Lucy and being all crazy before being arrested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQIK3Te9Coo

I really hope there are actually little subtle clues like a website banner and kareoke tunes being planted. A real puzzle being presented.

It would make a fab segment after the reveal as well!
"I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver

I think the flashback will reveal the true killer.
The hour long will probably end with a partial reveal to Ian but we don't know who it is.
Otherwise the flashback will be a bit pointless if the killer is not revealed while watching it

Could just be to do with slots BUT the flashback episode airing well after the watershed might mean its more violent than the norm for EE.

To be honest, I think it needs to be. To finally see Lucy's death for ourselves it would be anticlimatic if someone just clipped her round the head with something. I had similar hopes for the Christmas Day punch-up though. Either way I'm beyond excited.

I would love the flashback to be the actual reveal. The tension would be maximised by not realising who the killer is until the last minute, and then also who moves the body. I hope we see Lucy being dragged onto the Common; showing Cindy hit her over the head and cutting to the forest wouldn't quite sit right. I still think Max or Jane moved the body, most likely Jane since her car was definitely missing last night.

I think in Thursday's first episode a character will admit to killing Lucy, but in the flashback episode we'll actually see that another character finished her off.

I recon Max killed Lucy. Something's odd about his behavior, he has been acting really dark and sinister recently in the week. When Phil gets out of prison he'll be like "1, 2, Freddy's coming for you" mood.
