I never thought it could be him anyway but looking at next weeks spoilers I think we can officially rule out Lee. The Carters seem to be going about life as per usual which wouldn't be the case if they found out their son was a murderer.

I don't think it's Lauren, but I like the theory that whoever called Lucy did so from the Max's car lot.

In recent weeks our attention has been dwindling away from one of the most important places for Lucy.. and then the writers direct us onto that bold as brass sign put outside the arches with the same S O C number.
It wasn't the Arches number, the ending was different.

Jake Wood was just on Radio 2 saying that he'll probably find out at the same time as the viewers, unless he did it in which case he'll find out just before. I'm sure whoever it is knows by now, and if it's him he's lying! They also said Richard Blackwood's character has got some kind of involvement in the murder, although that was obvious as he's in the flashback.

It could still be him. He is mentioned much in the spoilers and who says the carters find out. I cant see the Killer not being a family member to Ian or a Branning.

I just can't see the murderer being a Carter. They aren't going to throw that on them right after the Dean storyline. I think they are mentioned in the spoilers for next week because they are the only family not directly affected by the reveal.

I would also rule out Denise as being the killer from watching the Graham Norton special. The actress who plays Kim said that she is to go into labour prematurely in the live moments of television this week; I would imagine she needs a great deal of support from her big sis as Dean isn't living with her and Patrick can't really help. It just occurred to me this is a shout back to Lola's story of giving birth live :)
Not saying however that Denise doesn't know something or isn't keeping any secrets.

It could be the shock of Denise being the killer that sends Kim into labour?

Agree that it's not her though, too many loose ends that wouldn't add up.

I wonder if Denise knows something she shouldn't though, just something about some of her reactions. Would really add meaning to her being stuck with Ian if she knew his family had been involved in lucys murder.

I think Denise's role in the whole thing was merely that she lay upstairs, unaware that Lucy was being murdered downstairs. We'll see her have to deal with the guilt of that. I hope that's the direction they go in anyway.

Problem I have with Denise being involved is that she's a very bitter and gobby drunk. If she knew something I just don't buy the idea that she wouldn't have said it by now.

I'm guessing she's going to be more involved in the Dean storyline than the Lucy one this week.

I took with wild guess with Denise seems my first choice always thought it and a few possible theories

I've also said that Denise shock confession to Kim brings her premature labour storyline on or arrest maybe she gets arrested at the end of episode where it tears her away from her sister

I thought lately how ian became a suspect in every investigation from who shot Phil and who killed archie what if he really is the killer this time

This is what I thought too. I was almost certain that something would be inadvertently revealed a few weeks ago when most of the women were drunk together in the Vic. It was the same episode where Denise made a drunkenly inappropriate comment about Carol's cancer.

I think the writer's are going to go with someone who is no longer on the show....I'm still thinking Danny Pennant....Other than that, I haven't a clue.....

Didn't Lauren say something along the lines of "the killer is walking amongst us, living a normal life", to Stacey the other day? Suggests it's an active character.

I'm strangely placid about finding out who the killer is. I'm more excited about the episodes themselves. I think it's because I know that once we discover the truth it can never be the same again, so that makes me tentative. I also can't wait to find out all the behind the scenes stuff on Friday. I want to know exactly when the killer found out, what the thinking behind making them the killer was and who the original killer was. I also hope everything else is revealed - the jewellery box under the Christmas tree, the earring, the blood, why Jane put Lucy's belongings under the floorboards etc.

Still sticking to my final theory that I've had for ages now.

Jane killed her and moved the body herself.

I really hope it isn't Denise :$
Massive thanks to NickM for this wonderful signature! :)

Denise didn't attend the funeral, Jane didn't want to attend and Whitney left the rot in hell note. Cindy was also sent away very soon after the death.

I think it was one of those four women.

I'm really pleased that EE have done that 7 min who killed Lucy recap, I found it on Sky demand but I presume it's on the website, iplayer etc too. Nice and concise with all the relevant bits for dozy buggers like me have forgotten half it

Going to watch the Lucy Beale: Plotting The Murder 9 min one now.

I've been thinking one of the Beales for the longest time, so that won't suprise me, but I think Lauren would be a nice unexpected twist.

I have completely ruled out Cindy, Mimi is a great young actress, but it is a lot of pressure to put on someone of her age to be the center of all this and everything that might follow. So I don't think Cindy had anything to do with her death whatsoever.
