Definitely think it is Abi. Her father was thinking with his pants again, sleeping with her sister's best friend. We know Abi can't stand the betrayal in her family. If she found out about Lucy and Max, how far would that push her? She wouldn't murder Lucy, but maybe after a struggle, Lucy hit her head. She seemed ok, stormed out of the flat and dropped dead on the way home.

Isn't Abi due for Uni in September? Maybe she could go off screen then and come back for the Christmas holidays ("big twist in the run up to Christmas") and we find out something concerning her.

Just thinking out loud, but whatever way it plays out, I think Abi will be involved.
Unfortunate.
"I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver

Yes, DTC likes to make things so complex and entwined, I can definitely see it going that way.

I missed the cast interviews on This Morning today, does anyone know where I can see them? It's not letting me watch them on the This Morning website for some reason.
The episode is on ITV Player now, you just need to set an account up first.
Thanks.

To be fair, Abi was a good shout considering she's only just basically been ruled out. I remember how excited we all got when she looked shifty in the episode after Lucy died.

Basically, our combined early theory was that Lucy got whacked on the head, somehow stumbled over to Walford Common and then was finished off by Terry Alderton.

Les and Pam don't sound too far-fetched now, eh?

Maybe it could be Terry! We didn't see him after the first minute of Friday's episode and there's nothing to say he wasn't out in his cab on Friday night. Hell, maybe Lucy got in his cab asking him to take her to the flats. We know there are secrets about Terry, the actor has hinted to this, and he wouldn't exactly be the first taxi driver to use a nice guy persona to cover up what he was really like.

Peter Sutcliffe started out in cabs, and he had a wife at home who didn't suspect a thing whilst he was out killing young women, also I can't imagine Alderton doing more than 18 months on the show.

I still maintain this was a good theory....

Lucy's mobile will, obviously, play a crucial part in the police investigation. Therefore, I'm almost certain that the mobile will have been stolen by the killer: similar to that of Danny Latimer in Broadchurch.
Just going to bump up some of the better previous ideas.

We still don't know how Ben and jay ended up with her phone. And now Jane has hidden them.

It's so annoying that I can't even say a couple of names of who I think is the killer because I have no idea.

If I have to choose one, I'll stick with my very first prediction - Peter.

Basically the one big red herring so far is Stacey's Key which I think we can safely say is unconnected.
Billy's Photo and Whitney's not have the potential to be completely un- relevant to mystery after tonight through I have a feeling we will see Whitney and maybe Billy accused which then makes Shabnham/Tamwar and/or Pam chirp up with what they know.

It is odd that so far Ben and Jay have had really no involvement in this week's episodes yet whatsoever. I'm sure that will change tonight, especially since in the preview clip when Peter comes stomping into the pub, they are following right behind him.

I am convinced in the flashback episode we will find out Ben and Jay slept together on the Night Lucy died. As when Ben kissed Jay he didn't seem that surprised just angry and said he needed to get his head clear. It seemed clear to me it was not the first time Ben had tried to or even had kissed Jay.

But how does jealousy and greed work out?

Okay so, thinking that Cindy killed Lucy accidentally, then Jane found out and roped in Ben and Jay to help move the body.

Jealousy could easily fit many suspects, Peter over the better sibling, Cindy over not being treated like a family member, Denise could be over anything she percieves Lucy to have a perfect life, Whitney because of lee.

The jealousy isn't too hard to explain. Greed is though.

I still think it's going to be less straightforward than a killer and someone who covered up.

Not long to go at least!

Does the Flashback episode have live inserts as well?
Yeah. 6 minutes of it will be live including scene/scenes with Ronnie.
Richard Blackwood was on set today so might be live tonight in the flashback as he is not credited in part 1 tonight or tomorrow.

While watching last night and Friday’s episode with Dot and Nick, I was struck by how poetic Dots words were, Dot is the fitting narrator for any celebratory event, as she has the reputation for being a “better part” to all the other Eastender’s characters. So yes it was very unnerving to hear her admit that a prestigious person such as Dot is in fact easily capable of being “wicked”, when allowed to be under more poignant circumstances which are in need of wickedness. So she admits to Nick that she believes he is evil on Friday, she goes as far as to use the metaphor that Nick is a snake who was let into her more holy ideal style of living. And last night as she narrates over everyone we see that the narration is actually in time with each of the individual characters storyline. To give an example, when Dot recites the line about wickedness the camera has panned onto Phil conversing with Ben. Phil could’ve been about to rat his own son out to Ian. Some parents might call that blasphemous, no? Deciding to not put his son (the theoretically closest person in Phil’s life) first is a tepid ominous sign for us the audience. Even more strange is he WANTS to tell Ian something to redeem a situation... This is one example in the 30th anniversary which shows how much the times have changed! So I Just wanted to get out some banter about clues and symbolism and stuff in writing before tonight’s episodes are on air. So excited!

You've missed another analogy. She was apologising about the evilness of her own psychopathic son over the sleeping beauty body of a cold-blooded killer and psychopath, so Ronnie can be the beautiful embodiment of innocence and goodness, but she is rotten to the core evil, herself.

One of my first theories, posted in the Lucy Beale spoiler thread:

"Far-fetched theory time: Since most professionals in Walford turn into psychos, Emma Summerhayes may have been desperate to turn her career around and find the case that would make her career. She sees Lucy and Jake together, watches her put him into the taxi and then when it's gone she kills her and takes her body back to Jake's flat to frame him. He moves the body but she still gets an arrest, but it will soon unravel for her when it becomes obvious that Jake is innocent and she now must find a way to frame somebody else."
