Or Bobby's motive wasn't solely "she made everyone unhappy"? Perhaps Lucy discovered the truth... that Bobby is, in fact, Lola's mum?! If you're reading this Dom... I'm free to start next week.

You know, it just occurred to me--maybe that's why Sonia immediately jumped in and told the doctor that Carol didn't want reconstructive surgery: she's afraid Carol will wind up with better ones than hers and Tina won't be able to announce to the whole square at every gathering how Sonia has the best rack in Walford! |

We shouldn't have been shocked that Bobby was the killer because as someone has pointed out on another thread he was a killer when he was a baby! And his own mum was the victim! Laura died by tripping on Bobby's toys at the top of the stairs, falling down them and breaking her neck while rushing to answer the door?! He was less then a year old but I'm pretty sure he planned it! If he could kill his mum no wonder he killed Lucy- after all she was ONLY his half sister!

Max thinks he killed Lucy accidentally by doing the Rumba with her, but Bobby secretly finished her off with the Paso Doble and Tango .

You know, the sad thing is Ian, Jane and Cindy believe it is Bobby. Bobby knows he hit Lucy and Lucy died. Sooner or later, he is going to put the pieces together and know he did it. He will then go through life, knowing/thinking he did it. As will the rest of his family. But if it wasnt him, not only will the killer get away scot free, Bobby will never get closure. He will never be able to redeem himself. There will never be any peace. Here is one of our real life cases: http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/69898949/kirsty-bentleys-brother-fears-her-murderer-will-never-be-caught |

I really do think that it's possible that one of the many others that (in a huge, slightly unrealistic coincidence) physically scrapped with Lucy that night actually killed her, and Jane only thinks it was Bobby. Lucy could have been sitting there in the Beale's living room with a bleed on her brain, about to die whether or not Bobby hit her. As others have pointed out, how would a little kid have the strength to kill someone with a fabric-covered box (is it leather-covered?) Look at Emma: she was around walking and talking after she was hit, but she had been fatally wounded. I suppose it does give future producers an out. To me it would be more realistic if it turned out Jane only thinks it was Bobby. And then she messes him up for life by treating him with kid gloves like he's a little murderer and then he grows up to be a killer because of his faulty upbringing, when he wasn't really a killer to begin with. OK, maybe not that last part... |

I thought the point of the batterings was that, yes, Bobby struck the fatal blow, but he wouldn't have killed her if she hadn't already been knocked about a lot in the previous 24 hours. |

In that case, no one would ever know. It's almost like Murder on the Orient Express. Everyone stabbed the victim, some stab wounds, in and of themselves, would have been fatal, but no one knew who did what, so the case was dropped. Did Lucy have an autopsy? If so, the medical examiner would have discovered several blows/contusions and would have been able to pinpoint which one and where the impact occurred on her head that killed her. Jake's and Abi's blows came to her face. That's one thing that bothered me. When she returned home, Lucy showed no physical signs of having been hit or battered. Jake's blow alone would have caused some sort of swelling to have begun. He's a big man, and recently in the Women's World Cup, an English player was smacked in the face in a game and immediately started swelling. |
