I'm going with DC Emma Summerhayes. Just something about the way she looked in the church-a bit panicky. I know Anna Acton could play the hell out of this.

I love the DC Summerhayes theory, never even entered my head!

That would be a brilliant twist ending, hope it happens.

God no. That would be... too much. People would lose all faith in the police.

I think Ian's secret is much more complex than a bunk up with Jane. Their scenes after Lucy's death seemed very real and raw, and it wouldn't be much of a secret as it has already happened on screen. He also makes a suspicious phone call next week. I think it's something a little bit more.

Flashbacks. Please let's have a flashback episode retracing all of Lucy's final steps. That could perhaps be what Jamie Lomas was referring to.
It'd be interesting if he was meeting up with Ben.

I'm going to post my Emma Summerhayes theory in here too:

Far-fetched theory time: Since most professionals in Walford turn into psychos, Emma Summerhayes may have been desperate to turn her career around and find the case that would make her career. She sees Lucy and Jake together, watches her put him into the taxi and then when it's gone she kills her and takes her body back to Jake's flat to frame him. He moves the body but she still gets an arrest, but it will soon unravel for her when it becomes obvious that Jake is innocent and she now must find a way to frame somebody else

I'm calling it now.... It was Minty and Gary. They were spotted having sex together in the woods by Lucy and so they killed her to protect their reputations. Lol

The thought of those two at it will give me nightmares.

I hadn't thought of it before, but I like the theory of Ian going to meet Ben from prison and keeping it quiet because Ben didn't want Phil to know. I wish I'd recorded the episode where Lucy died as I can't remember exactly when everything happened and when we saw everyone.

the order we see everyone doesn't give anything away though because there would be big or small time lapses between scenes.

I like the character development we have had from Lucy even after death. DTC did say it would be a character study and he's been true to his word on this.

I'm glad she hasn't been totally eulogised in death. Obviously, her family and friends are naturally seeing the positives as that's what people do when someone dies young and tragically. But she was nasty and cruel sometimes and that's not been forgotten. This does not mean that she deserved to die, couldn't change or that whoever did it shouldn't be punished.

Her treatment of Whitney was actually appalling. OK, not liking her is one thing but a campaign of bullying and harassment about her social status and her weight is dreadful, that's the kind of thing nobody should have to put up with. This being said, I think a lot of this was learnt from Ian who is a complete social snob who always held his family to be something else, above the commoners and not like other families. It was other families who had teenage pregnancies, seedy affairs and whose kids were involved in substance abuse, not his respectable, middle-class family which is now ironic because they are exactly the things Lucy has been through and even in death, Ian's biggest fear is that this will get out and damage her and his reputation.

Lucy and Peter developed that same look-down-your-nose-at-the-plebs attitude. People say that Melissa Suffield's Lucy was like Cindy, well, Hetti Bywater's Lucy was a lot like Ian.

Lucy also did look slightly guilty when Whitney saw her with Lee. When she told Max she wanted to be a better person, I'm not sure she was just referring to her behaviour with him. I think she was genuine too so maybe in time, she would have apologised for her shocking behaviour.

I'd like it if a secret about Lucy was revealed from when she came back in to the show in 2012. Like when Cindy revealed Lucy was arrested in Devon, it's be cool to think there are more long lasting secrets.

So with 8 1/2 months to go until the reveal, i can safely say it could be anyone on the square who's looked shifty or written notes in the last month and a half.

Regarding Aleks, remember that when Denise discovered Lucy had been murdered he was standing with her in the Minute Mart. He does seem to have an alibi for Good Friday though.
In last night's episode, Alexs popped up in the scene where Peter was handing out leaflets. I think we'll continue to see Alexs making little cameos in scenes about Lucy's death.

I think it's a false trail but I'm open minded and it's a clever one. For me, red socks = red herring!

Was it Jake who took the photos? I think that would add to his feelings of guilt when he discovered Lucy's body.

Although I'm now starting to think he wasn't the one who moved her. If we believe that he was too drunk to remember what was going on. But maybe he found her, got blood on himself which he transferred to the flat. If he found her body in the flat and moved it surely he'd have told the police to speak to Aleks.

Was Lee around when Tina moved into the flat? Trying to think who could have left traces of Lucy's blood in the flat. All the creepy Aleks stuff I just think will be either a red herring to make use of the actor or he'll be Lucy's dealer.
