This would explain why no character has shown any remorse for Lucy's death and the only person who acted in anyway that would be seen as suspicious was Whitney Dean. I know there is a theory the killer doesn't know what they have done but if this is to make sense then clues need to be planted. So far Whitney is the only one who has not pretended Lucy was anything other than a bitch and she has deleted evidence to stop herself from getting into trouble. So unless its right in our face and Whitney is indeed the killer I think we have been looking in all the wrong places.
Perhaps Whitney's potential relationship with Lee is going to be how she redeems herself. She discovers he suffers from nightmares and blackouts and suspects he was involved.

You know what! this could well be it.

I have always thought it was Lee despite everything what has or is about to happen. Putting Whitney into play and making it her who finds out the killer is pretty much DTC.

Jake Wood has grown a beard. Unless he's been on a break could this mean Max ends up going to prison?

Right now, I think it's Nick Cotton! (This will probably change numerous times before the reveal).

Thanks Nick

My guess is Cindy Jr at the moment.

I think Nick Cotton may have some involvement in the story. Cindy was one of those who left a message on Lucy's phone to say sorry about something (grassing on her?) after she had died. Ian and Lee also left messages. Presumably the police have heard the messages from the phone company, even though the phone is missing. I think it's unlikely Cindy would have left evidence that they had fallen out, after Lucy was dead.

I had a quick scan through the Good Friday and Easter Monday episodes, Peter is not seen from when he overheard Ian telling Lucy that she was his favourite, to next morning in Billy's flat. We've no information about where he was. Lucy was looking for him and asked Lauren if she had seen him when she came out of the Vic, Lauren replied no. I don't think Peter did it, he had no real motive and she was his twin; I would think it would take an awful lot of aggravation to kill your twin.

Ronnie is still my favourite for the murder, but I'm not sure what the motive was.

I've just had a thought about Ian and all the hints about his eye sight. I think he saw Lucy again on the night of her death but didn't realise it was her and more importantly who she was with.

I was watching the Diederick Santer interviews after Stacey was revealed as Archie's killer and the way he said that the first face you saw in the Boxing Day episode and trailer was Stacey makes me think Denise. Last seen before Lucy was dead and the first seen in the trailer.

I can't bear the thought of Denise as a killer though. That would make me cry, a lot.

So Billy has a key to Aleks' flat, had a reason to dislike Lucy and is apparently involved in Friday's secret. Interesting.

I'm pretty convinced it was Denise now, tbh!
Massive thanks to NickM for this wonderful signature! :)

Judging by the cast-lists, Billy's importance over the next fortnight is a lot bigger than anything that the spoilers are suggesting. Three consecutive duff duffs, but hardly anything to explain why. I'm pressed.

He certainly seemingly has a part to play in the Lucy plot, Lee's involvement is confirmed but not revealed in spoilers but they've put Billy at the head of Friday's cast list for a reason. Unless his upcoming employment at Coker & Sons leads him into the Charlie/Dot story in future.

I'm very suspicious about Pam Coker. She is too nicey nicey so I think her and Les may have killed Lucy.

Jake Stone is released from prison this week, after a shocking new development rocks the Lucy Beale murder investigation. But in an even bigger twist, another Walford resident is put in the frame for killing Ian’s beloved daughter! So who is it – and what reason could they have possibly had for ending Lucy’s life?
“This person is someone totally unexpected!” says our EastEnders insider. “So far, we’ve seen many twists and turns involving various characters and their alibis – but this suspect and their involvement in the case will come completely out of nowhere for everyone.”
The week gets off to a dramatic start as secrets and lies stun those closest to the person in question, and the new accused is forced to deal with the consequences.

I agree it has to be Billy. Tuesday's vague spoiler makes sense now: Lola being caught between the men in her life has to revolve around him and Peter.

Love how Billy is now a suspect, but I don't think he's the killer.

Definitely interesting that he was seen arguing with Lucy the night she died.

How would people feel if the killer turned out to be Janine? She turns up for the 30th anniversary in February. That would be certainly a shock. Janine and Lucy knew each other from Butchers Joints. Thoughts?

So now we've had Jake, Lee, Whitney, Max and Billy with significant involvement.

Suspicious activity from Abi, Aleks, Ronnie and Charlie.

We know Patrick, Kim, Bianca and Terry aren't the killers.

Surprisingly little focus on the Beales with Ian, Denise, Jane, Peter and Cindy receiving little focus as suspects.
