I haven't watched them yet, but Lola was seen going into Roxys.
"I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver

Charlie 's line " give me some credit , if I had done this , I would have done a much better job of covering it up "

I think it is Les .

In her alibi she says 'I was supposed to go to the party with Peter but (something about him being distant) so I spent it at home with Lexi instead.'

I think it's probably just poor writing as there would be no reason Lola would lie about going to the party as that would actually be a stronger alibi.

I am praying for a flashback episode. I want to see everything that we've been told but not seen. I was gutted on Good Friday when we didn't see the house warming party so I'd love to see that too.

But some killers flaw is in their confidence they've got away with it. Charlie's slipped up already with the Nick thing and he's had to lie through his teeth to cover that up.

Les would be a huge cop out and I can't see them having the killer as someone who didn't appear in the Good Friday episode.

Les is so awfully panto. Most of the others were alright though.
My money is still on Denise.

Looks like these are our twelve alibis that we're getting tonight, http://instagram.com/bbceastenders

I've just watched them, before I'm watching the episode. I must say - very good. Some are obvious red herrings, and Les Coker is a bit hammy, but the ones who stuck out for me were Charlie, Peter, Lola, Whitney and Dean (for the wrong reason).

In hindsight, I'm wondering if part of Dean's alibi was a deliberate lie, like Whitney's because Whitney went to great lengths to emphasise how close a friend she was to Lucy, when she wasn't and we all know that. Dean said he didn't even know Lucy, which is a lie, because he knew her when she was a young teen seven years ago. Lucy was a peripheral part of the mugging of Patrick, and Dean inadvertantly got her off the hook and later paid for it, himself. This could be a deliberate lie like Whitney's or it could be the usual shoddy research or retconning.

I'm still sticking with Charlie because his answer was oblique, implied he wouldn't be capable of doing an act so stupid as to dump a body nearby and also because in saying this, he implied he was very much capable of carrying out an act like killing someone. (For the record, I think he's an accessory).

But coming up close in the prime suspect stakes are Peter and Lola. Peter's an angry boy and jealousy can do seriously bad things to people. His whereabouts on Good Friday can't be vouched for as he was alone - nor can Whitney's, for that matter, and we know that Whitney had issues with Lucy, as did Peter on that night. And he'd certainly have been able to have moved her body.

The other alibi which stuck out was Lola's - Danielle Harold is a brilliantly convincing little actress. Jealousy of a different sort and anger toward Lucy revealed, and the great direction of showing her anxiety with her hands twisting the sleeves of her hoodie.

For me, still Ronnie (cleverly left out) and Charlie, followed closely by Peter with Lola bringing up third place.

I'm working my way through them now.

Me thinks Abigail doth protest too much - I don't think she's the killer but she's got to be hiding something more than just knowing about Max and Lucy's affair. Probably another one who Lucy bumped into on the night she died.

Les' video is hysterical,

If it's possible could somebody upload these videos to YouTube? Windows Phones are great but they lag behind a little, BBC doesn't support all mobile devices so I can't watch the clips.

Dean's is chilling. He hints to a lot of things including stuff that's happened to him (that we still don't know about!) and that he's changed (so he now doesn't lie? That's what he went to prison for!)

Didn't Abi take the picture of Lucy and Max snogging and send that e-mail to Max? That could be the source of her anger.

Actually - and it's very clever - various of those clips hint obliquely at other storylines in which these characters will be involved. Les is obviously involved in the Charlie caper. Linda's line about not knowing whom she could trust has infinite repercussions in various things about to emerge re the Carters, and Dean's last line about being a changed man presages more about what's supposed to go down re his family dynamic than Lucy's murder.

On an nuanced level, this is a great advert for the programme as a whole. Me, praising DTC twice in two weeks. Whoda thunk it?

Somebody has uploaded the clips to YouTube so I've got around to watching them. Denise's one piqued my suspicions the most. Perhaps she killed accidentally during a fight after Lucy discovered Denise's intentions of leaving Ian.

Very true, and - like Whitney and/or Dean - this could be a deliberate lie.

Then again, it could be bad continuity and shoddy research. Let's go with the former. ;)

Just watched the Abi one.
Look at her hair. It is very "Carter" style, and Jay has been paying more attention to Lola than her lately.....
Just livin' in perfect New Zealand!

Next spoilers have me intrigued- and for one particular reason...

I think Jay could be connected to Lucy's death. It's a bit of a long shot, but he's been known to wear a beanie now and then- and someone with a beanie was spotted getting off a bus with her on Good Friday. Plus, in the spoilers for next Friday it says Jay is tense for reasons unlinked to Abi, and after all there has to be a reason he knows about Max and Emma. I'm not sure how, but I'm starting to think it could be connected...

!!!!!!

And he was wearing that beanie on the day that Lucy was killed! Remember, that scene in the cafe with Dexter, Tamwar and Fatboy when they were discussing Fatboy catching Lucy and Lee at the restaurant? He was definitely wearing it then and I remember noticing the oddness of it.

Clever detective work WalfordE20! AND he gets the duff duff on the Friday episode. I was thinking Ben, but Jay is a very clever bet.

The killer will have to be Sue Osman or Joe Wicks or someone because us fans are just too sharp.

Wow, it has to be Jay then. It certainly didn't take us long to figure that one out. :D Now it's more or less guaranteed who, I can't wait to find out how or why he could be involved. All these twists and turns really are brilliant- and they just keep on coming.

Wouldn't Lucy and Jay have spoken/sat next to each other though? Unless Jay was on his way to meet Ben and hid his face.
