We are also now tantalizingly close to the big 'curveball' in the 'run up' to Christmas. If it happens when I think it will (Peter and Lucy's birthday) then we only have a few weeks to wait before we start seeing signs of it in the spoilers.

I know people said it would be too long a story but I have to say EastEnders have paced this one very well. At one point I was a bit bored of it and then it went away, so now I'm ready for more developments.

When the reveal finally comes I can't wait to read back through this thread and see who called it, and who picked up on the clues.

'Do you really the person following you is the person that killed Lucy?'

I don't know Abi, is it?

Interesting that all the Beales have gone on a break this year?

Ian to America
Jane to Birmingham
Peter to New Zealand
Cindy to Gina's
Denise to Spain

(Lola to her friend's)
(Lee to the Afghanistan)
(Ronnie to Portugal)

It's soooooo one of them. Sending them off on holiday is the perfect decoy.

I'm still sticking with Lola. She has been very quiet this year- particularly since Lucy's death. Also, when she confronted Lauren and told her to basically stay away from Peter and the trailer that was uploaded on the EE website of her police interview...it just seems to point to her IMO.

It had best not be Ian, then: http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2014-11-04/eastenders-star-adam-woodyatt-i-wouldnt-buy-it-if-ian-turned-out-to-be-lucys-killer

And thirty years since he signed his fist contract this week. Wow.

At this late stage I definitely think it's someone who's been glossed over despite having a strong motive... and I'm still looking at you Peter. I do think that Lola, Lee, Cindy and Jane are still in the running though. Don't forget Jane knew about the cocaine.

I'm sticking with the most realistic option. The closest family members, Peter or Ian, are the most likely potential culprits.

They learned from the Saskia storyline how to pace a major and lengthy storyline by "filling" it with other interesting storylines to relieve the pressure on continuing with the main one. Saskia took one year to complete, and before that, Sharongate ran for TWO years.

Dexter to Newcastle. :P
This would be at one and the same time the ultimate way to get rid of Dexter, the character, and also the ultimate cop-out; however, I don't think the BBC would pursue that option for a number of reasons.

Question: The police know for certain that Lucy was not killed on the Common and that her head wound was an open wound (ostensibly at the back of her head, which we didn't see). How could Lola have possibly moved Lucy's body from wherever she killed her to the Common? Lola is quite a small girl, and even though Lucy was skinny, an unconscious person or even a dead one is a weight in and of itself.

My suspect list hasn't changed:- Ronnie/Charlie, Peter or Lee.

I'd be so disappointed if it was Peter, far too obvious for me.

The person who moved her body to the common is not necessarily the person who killed her. With what was said about the person responsible not knowing exactly what happened to Lucy, I'm expecting it to be 2 different people.

I now agree that Lola is now a real possibility. The only really concrete evidence we have is that Jay had Lucy's wallet and phone. We know that Lucy had her wallet when she returned to the square from Walford Common with Jake, because she paid for the taxi. We don’t know what happed to her after that.

I don't think it was Jay, but he seems to have had some involvement. Jay has always been very close to Lola and I suspect that he would have helped her dump the body. He probably had access to a car at the Arches and we know that he bought bleach the next day. As far as we know, Jay and Jake were the only people to know that Lucy had been at Walford Common earlier that evening (he was on the bus). What better place to dump her body, removing her phone and wallet to make it appear like a random mugging.

Lola was jealous of Lucy and Peter’s closeness, she lives underneath the flat where Lucy had returned Jake and where a spot of Lucy’s blood was found. They could have had a scuffle, resulting in Lucy’s existing head wound being aggravated. Lola was also very nervously playing with her fingers on the interview video clip posted on the EE website.

This seems to be at least a plausible explanation of the facts that we have.
