I know he was never really in the frame, but I guess we can 100% rule out Johnny to be involved with Lucy's death?

Just catching up with EastEnders Does Grease - Nitin sings the line "I'll kill to get the money" from Greased Lightning - a clue? B-)
Happy Christmas Ange.

We still have had little to no attention on Peter, Lee, Lola, Jane and Whitney. All characters who were close to Lucy in various ways and whose whereabouts are still in question for that night.

Hello, I am new to the forums which I have been observing for weeks on the topic of who killed Lucy Beale, I decided to become a member to try and narrow the suspects down logically by asking the right kind of questions as now its only a few months away from the date. Placing a bet on the event in the summer has made each episode slightly more enjoyable as I win a nice amount of money at the end if correct :) ... I will start by asking why does everybody assume that Lucy was mugged by Ben and Jay? Nobody remembers the phone ringing with Lucys body next to it?

Welcome to the forums. :)

When we first saw Lucy's body it's true that her phone was ringing, but at no point did we physically see it laying beside her.

Someone has pointed out that Lucy's driving license is only valid from the 30th of August 2014. Awkward.

HAHA. That's amazing. Probably around the time they filmed those scenes.

Must've been done by the person who did Stacey's 'Jenny Smith' passport, valid for over 10 years and from May 2009, before Stacey even needed a new identity!

You never know when you might need a fake passport. Always good to have one handy...

I can't believe they went to the trouble of getting a driving licence with her correct name, address etc and then put 2014 instead of the date of her 17th birthday which they could have worked out from her DOB!

Also on the subject of Lucy's driving licence, it's only a provisional I believe. Shock horror! Most young adults in Soapland can drive, including Abi Branning (apparently) who never mentioned taking any lessons or indeed a test.

Good point Walforde20*, but the audio of the phone still proves that BenJay did not take/mug Lucy when she was alive unless they are the killers or saw her be killed. Of course there could have been another way how the phone/purse got to them but for now we can remove the idea (that i have read many times) that BenJay mugged Lucy then someone killed her.

Maybe I am going too deep into this but to me the voicemails sound like they are being replayed as oppose to being played automatically after a fresh voicemail, maybe a clue/red herring in future will be for one of them to be deleted?

So, with roughly three months left until the big reveal, who do you think killed Lucy?

Answers on a postcard.

Lola is a big contender, if not, I just know it was someone from that party. Fingers crossed for a flashback episode or segment in the reveal week.

The focus will fall on Peter, Cindy, Jane, Denise, Masood, Lauren, Whitney, Lola and Lee in the final few weeks.

Aleks was with Roxy all night. Roxy corroborated that to Lauren when Lauren was playing Nancy Drew earlier in the year.

It's gotta be Billy Mitchell. I did think it was Abi at one point, but I am fully decided on Billy.
