If anything I think last night's just made Denise even more likely. I even felt an air of the suspect being in the room when Denise went to give Ian Lucy's belongings. |

Imagine it, Murder on the Walford East Tube. The whole of Albert Square killed Lucy Beale. |

The way this story is playing out it can't be Denise or Jane. Jay and Ben know who did it and are covering for them. I think it's either a Beale or someone very close. Peter, Whitney, Lola just changed to Peter, Lola, Whitney. |

Lola. Tonight pretty much confirmed it for me. There but not there. So we know that Ben's story about the bag being left on the street was a lie... or do we? And it was Jay rather than Ben that did something wrong/illegal. Jane foaming at the mouth to keep hold of Lucy's stuff also stood out, as did Ben stopping right outside the Vic - could that be where the little scenario with Lucy happened. It's a shame that a flashback episode is looking less likely as it would just be absolutely ideal. There's still so many little threads to pick back up: the earring, the drugs, the blood. It's episodes like tonight's that proves to me that this story is a good one. It's far too easy to dismiss it as being 'dragged out' or 'I don't care about Lucy'. The bigger picture must always be looked at, it's a flipping brilliant one in my opinion. Edited by MrJames, 28 Nov 2014, 22:30.

It must be something that is on the phone. Digitalspy has a litany of EastEnders spoilers for December, quite literally from the beginning of December it's drama central. |

Ben certainly did seem to be pointing the finger at Jay there. "You should be a bit more grateful. I've just lied for you". It's pretty certain Jay didn't kill Lucy, so what did he do? Cover for the person who did? If that's the case it can only be Lola. He would cover for her because, no matter what he says, he loves her. And Ben would help him because a) Ben does care about Jay in his own weird way, and b) Lola is the mother of his child. |

So according to Ben, they found Lucy's bag on the street, took the phone/purse but then Lucy's bag somehow found its way back to her when her body was found on the Common? I think it was a more traditional mugging - it really wasn't Lucy's night, was it? |

I really think Jane is involved. She was very insistent in believing Ben's story and not handing the phone into the police and getting rid of it( not even looking). If she is not the killer or was present at the death or saw the body after death then she has a massive secret from the night she is hiding. |

Ben's definitely hiding something. If he did only need money, why not only take the purse. It wasn't like Lucy had the bag with her to call the police if he or he and Jay left the phone. |

The final scene with Ben on Friday night was very reminiscent of Lucy’s final scene. Ben was standing by the end of Ian’s house, clearly very agitated and looking up at the lit window, just as Lucy was. He walks down Bridge Street, we see the café and a train is going over the bridge. Again, just like Lucy's final scene which ended there. We then see the chip shop, where we later learnt that Lucy had an argument with Billy. I think this close correspondence must have been deliberate. But what was it trying to tell us?Was it just supposed to remind us of Lucy’s death, or did it have some other significance? Any ideas? |

My brother was watching Soccer AM yesterday morning and Jamie Borthwick was on it. Apparently he said that he was one of eight people who could have killed Lucy but I'm not sure if it's got any truth to it. |

I also saw that interview, here's the link. He says it at around the 1:30 mark. I also thought that it would be significant to mention this: ![]() ![]() Every time, I find myself laughing at that horrible shirt because Ian wore it for about 2 weeks after Lucy's death. It seems that this shirt comes out every time Ian's children are in danger: (i.e. Lucy's death; Bobby's disappearance). Will we see it during Peter's coke saga? |

I am 100% now fixed on Lola and Billy (with Ben and Jay aware) having watched some bits back. Lola and Billy live at 89 Albert Square, the building where Lucy's blood was found. Lola was dating Lucy's twin brother, Peter at the time of her death. Billy was working for Ian Beale at the time of her death and stealing from him. Billy was arrested as a suspect during the investigation. Photographs of Lucy have been found hidden in the property by Pam, which Billy denied. Lola's whereabouts on the night have not yet been confirmed. Ben and Jay obtained Lucy's posessions somehow the night she died, and are both related or close to Billy/Lola. Lola left the Square following Ben's return in September. Billy is working for the funeral directors who organised Lucy's funeral. Lucy stole Billy's business idea and cut him out of the setup - I believe Lucy and Lola clashed as a result of this. Lola was at the television appeal and was sole camera focus when it was said "Lucy was found with a head trauma". Lola and Billy have been significantly quiet in the show since the Summer indicating something is coming up. Both characters are members of the Mitchell family, the long term 'enemy' of the Beales. Billy was in the Queen Vic the night Ian told Peter of Lucy's death. I think the outcome will see Billy leave the show whilst Lola will remain on the Square with only limited persons knowing her involvement. Edited by NevermindMe, 30 Nov 2014, 14:14.
