Who Killed Lucy?; All the theories

Nope, not going that far either. The suspect list will be narrowed down but there's not enough evidence to suggest that it will be reduced to either Beales or Braninngs at this stage. Anyone could plant that present or it could find its way to the house a number of ways. It may not even be from the killer, could be someone else looking for attention.

And who says Emma has to be on first name basis with the person she calls? She's well known as the copper in the community these days and would know all of Lucy's close friends and neighbours from working on the case.

Besides, Whitney or Lola did it and they ain't no Beale or Branning. :P

Billy and Lola.

I find it hard to believe that Billy would be able to keep such a secret to himself but there is the mystery of those photos and a distinct lack of scenes between Billy and Lola this year so could be possible.

It's why Billy freaked out when Pam said she'd killed someone.

There's a reason they've paired Billy up with the undertakes, they even spend Xmas together.

Lola's also been off screen for a reason. She also played with Lucy's social media account following her death, hiding bits from Peter.

Phoning someone to tell them you know they're a murderer really isn't a good idea, especially if you haven't told your boss first! I'm interested to see how they show Emma working it out without us being able to work it out as well.

I'm still wondering if Ian's eyesight and Lucy and Lauren wearing the same clothes is relevant. It seems like it should be, but any of the suspects would work out who it was when they got closer, and it's not like Lucy and Lauren look similar from behind. The tablet was mentioned a couple of pages back, could Honey be returning soon?

I do agree that the lack of scenes between Lola and Billy, Jay and Ben is strange. I hope Jay and Ben aren't covering up another murder though. And I hope it's not Jane as she hasn't been around for most of the storyline.

It's not Jane. Jane was only intended to be a short term returned for the death itself. They didn't know she'd be back later in the year until WR was axed.

If the BBC had it planned as Jane all along, they wouldn't have let Laurie do the final series of WR and would have had her come back to EE earlier.

On iPlayer there is a 5-minute special called 'Lucy Beale: the story so far'. It's a recap of all of the main events in the story up to now.

I was just going to post this. Great little summary, and a reminder of how many twists the story has taken.

This storyline is crying out for an EastEnders Revealed episode.

Brilliant recap, loved the backing music too. I may have to download that version of Diamonds.

Couple of new bits at the end... a letter being delivered to Emma, Lee looking shifty in his hoodie in the Square and we hear Emma making THAT phonecall.

It looks like Lee delivers the package to Emma. Her choice of words in the phonecall narrows the suspects to a Beale or a Branning.

But, here's a twist ... what if Emma's nearly right ... but wrong?

DTC is a Christie fan, but Emma is no Poirot or Miss Marple.

That video really made me miss Lucy. She really finally came into her own in her last month or so.

I know it wouldn't have had the same effect, but I wish it was Peter these days.
"I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver

It was Tramp.

Think about it: he may have been out with Max "for a walk".
What do we really know about Tramp? He just turned up one night. What if he was working undercover?
Lucy managed to get some cocaine and he sniffed it out, but tragically killed her by mistake.
We'll all think, yes it makes sense, but it's also clever -- no one would suspect a dog.
And it's also tragic, it comes from the heart, because the murderer is already dead and so the justice for the Beales is bittersweet. And, Lucy's body was moved to the common in the car that killed Tramp.

It fits, it all fits.
