Although I still think a woman killed Lucy, I am thinking that Steven wouldn't be a bad outside punt, a massive shock and he was actually mentioned albeit briefly on Monday. He is capable too. |

A few cast think its Abi who killed Lucy. Jake Wood, Jacqueline Jossa and Ben Hardy all think Abi killed Lucy. |

Abi isn't a strong enough character to do it justice. |

I've been thinking about it more, and I've come to the decision that it is either Whitney or Terry. But I'm going to lock in Whitney now! We haven't seen much of the aftermath yet, and I know there will be more to come that will probably change our minds, but for some reason I just think Whitney. I think she's the only one that would have done it. The others are just too close to Lucy or don't have a big enough motive. There is Jake, Max and the person who took the photo of Max and Lucy kissing who may be Abi, but I think they will be red-herrings. |

I don't think it will be Terry, but I was just thinking about how well we actually know him. Like for all we know he could be capable of murder. He has the same motive as Whitney. He has been taking an interest in her life, knows all the bad stuff she's been through and has been keeping an eye out and keeping an interest in Whitney. He could have wanted to punish Lucy for making Whitney suffer even more. Whitney obviously has a motive as well as she could have just suddenly snapped and wanted to get back at Lucy after all the trouble she's had with men. Such as Rob and Tony for obvious reasons, Billie dying, probably more I've missed. They might not have set out to kill her, but just wanted to teach her a lesson. It's just my guess, I mean I don't really have a clue who it is. |

I think we should ban the word 'motive' for the foreseeable future. I am of course joking, but I just don't think this is a storyline about motives. Not at the point that we know next to nothing anyway. |

The killer doesn't need a motive. They didn't intend to kill her and aren't aware they have. This has been confirmed. Terry, Abi, Billy and Denise are my 4. |

I don't think it's just going to be one person who met Lucy after she got her text. But I definitely think Abi was involved, although there is nothing to suggest she actually killed her. |
| "I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver | |

Yeah, I still don't get the Terry thing. I know we don't know that much about him but he has zero connection to Lucy. What would he even be doing with her? I think it has to be someone close to her. |

I've just read a post on Digital Spy, and, wondered whether one of the intelligent (and lovely) people on here could answer this question for me. Do murder victims have to be buried? I've never heard of that being the case before, so, I wondered if anyone else knew of it. |

I think it was either Abi or Max. Abi seems a less obvious choice. However watching that trailer something clicked. She stands out massively wearing bright red. I think she will be accused at the very least, maybe a red herring. My thoughts on max are a bit more vague. I think there's a chance that he was blackmailed by someone. I also have a hunch that the mention of Nick and Charlie just recently is some slight foreshadowing for Nick's -in my mind inevitable- return next year. That would do 30 years justice. I'm interested to know how long the storyline's been bubbling under the surface. Many clues could be dug up. |

The coke, "Nick's" corpse, Carl's death and Stacey's key, which Lauren has. All parts of the puzzle. Just like Agatha Christie. Remember two things from Christie, which DTC is using and will use - false motive and unreliable narrator/witness.

If the killer did have a motive it would have to be so obscure to avoid being worked out at this point. No way they'd make a 10 month storyline that easy. |
