I didn't say the show is a mess because David isn't there , I said we've been watching filler since he left . I think the show is a mess because we are waiting on all these storylines to happen and they are just not . Stacey , Ronnie , the Charlie storyline due to actors not being available . I enjoyed the Sharon week because it was just nice to see Letitia Dean actually get some screen time but that was about it . Edited by Shaz1022, 7 Jul 2014, 16:55.

Stacey's brief return earlier on in the year worked, because it tied up loose ends that she was connected to in order to ensure that she will have a long term future on the show when she returns permanently. A full time return wouldn't have worked in the long run unless she finally realised the error of her ways and admitted responsibly to killing Archie. And as of right now, she isn't connected to any main storyline, so her absence isn't harming the pace of the show. I do agree with the other points raised by several FM members on here. It is all well and good that Dominic Treadwell-Collins has these huge storylines for various characters, but when several actors are repeatedly absent throughout the course of the year, the storyline which were once labelled big and huge just lingers on by in the background and thus the viewer loses all interest in the snail paced development of that particular storyline. I understand that Lucy Beale's murder is meant to be a slow burning storyline, but TPTB need to have engaging storylines flowing throughout the course of that storyline in order to ensure that viewers sustain interest. That's how a continuing drama works. Edited by Blokeoptimistic, 7 Jul 2014, 18:04.

Ronnie's baby will be due January/February time if it was conceived on the night of Lucy's murder. Maybe she'll get PND or will go psycho when the baby's born which will set up Peggy's inevitable guest stint for the anniversary. |

I'm seriously thinking that Ronnie will die in childbirth. In a way, that's the only ending that makes sense for her. |

I wouldn't mind them killing her off now her character is irretrievably ruined but I think she will have a big part to play in the anniversary since she is one of DTC's favourites and I'm convinced they will try and get Babs, Ross and Dannii back to celebrate 25 years of the Mitchells at the same time. Maybe it will be Ronnie's funeral.

I think the Mitchells (Peggy and Sam) will return for Phil and Sharon's wedding in 2015... |

Didn't clock that it's 25 years of the Mitchells as well as 30 of EastEnders until you said there! I can see that happening. I hope Sam stays, always had a soft spot for Daniella. |

I don't get that they can plan so far ahead. Any actor could announce they are quitting. Of course the end of an actors contract is a good clue, but still. |

@SharonJBatten: #EastEnders 2015 story conference begins.@dominictc @alexlamb81 @James_Payne_ @LaceyTurner @leo_richardson @mattev4ns http://t.co/gXoBkinkQE Nice to see Letitia Dean , Lacey Turner and Jessie Wallace there , hopefully they will come up with some great stuff for their respective characters . They couldn't possibly sit there and dream up another 15 Carter storylines could they ? |

I'm actually really happy to see Lacey there. That must mean they've got something else up there sleeves for her other than being the confidante of Walford, surely? |

I'm happy those 3 are there but don't forget Lindsey Coulson was at the last conference and nothing been mentioned any new Carol stories. We need more Lindsey Coulson. |

I think these conferences plan for something like 9-12 months ahead though. |
