A new iPlayer exclusive series "Back to Ours" will see EE actors reacting from their characters' living rooms to old clips from the programme from 1985 to present day.

Nitin and Himesh, Tameka, Diane and Rudolph and Shane and Jessie are all confirmed so far with more to follow.

Edit: DS article - http://m.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2/eastenders/news/a616050/eastenders-30th-anniversary-series-to-launch-on-bbc-iplayer.html#~oYbrL7tPPLltu2

Let's hope they get some previous cast involved. Imagine Adam Woodyatt, Michelle Collins, Tamsin Outhwaite and Laurie Brett in the Beales' living room reacting to old Ian clips.

EE and Gogglebox are my two favourite shows and Gogglebox has never featured EE so I'm glad they're finally crossing over in some way!

Oh how fabulous, EastEnders does Gogglebox.

Not a huge fan of Gogglebox but I do love EastEnders, so will be watching this.
Very good idea aswell. I love reminiscing over classic clips on Youtube.

This should be good. The old BBC3 documentaries are sorely missed.
Warning: Posts made by The Local Butcher may contain sarcasm, frustrated expressions of fatigue in the face of Eastenders' neverending insanity, desperate and ill-conceived attempts to be funny, controversial opinions and nuts. Not necessarily in that order.

Looking forward to this already...

Does anyone happen to know whether there's a way of recording/saving iPlayer content? Because this sounds like something worth keeping...

Unless of course they're also planning to release a series of 10 discs per decade dvd box sets like Corrie has done, and they intend to spoil us by including this series and all previous BBC3 specials as bonus material... (one can dream, can't one?)

They should bring back EE Revealed exclusively to iPlayer, I miss them.

I severely hope they have more planned to celebrate the 30th anniversary than this.

Time to release some DVD box sets or even a series of documentaries. What would be amazing is a Top 30 countdown of the best episode from each year of the show.

OK, so what is googlebox, and how do I watch it outside the UK?

Now, before anyone gets too technical, this is Professor Plum. I had to ring our eftpos provider yesterday. One of the questions he asked was "is it wireless?"
answer "no, the wireless plays music, I am talking about the eftpos"

I will not be offended if I receive step-by-step instructions, with words of one syllable.

You could consider using a VPN service. It's what I use in Belgium for catching up with my favourite British programmes on BBC iPlayer, ITV Player and so on. I'm not that tech savvy either, but the VPN app I installed on my iPad is ridiculously easy to use: it's basically just a button you switch on and off if and when needed. I pay a small fee for the service (a yearly fee which comes down to about £4 per month), but unlimited access to "all things British" is more than worth it for me.

again, in English please :'(

I know BBC iplayer doesn't work here (outside of the UK), and then lost it after words like VPN.

but thank you :)

It's a weekly TV review series looking back at what's happened on the telly and in the news. The twist is that the reviewers are UK households and we watch clips of them reacting to clips of TV shows from the week. Basically we're watching people watch television.

Youtube has lots of episodes uploaded. You could try there and see if any are available to view in your country.

No information on the EastEnders site yet other than Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie are in the first episode and Samantha Womack and Rita Simons the second.

The original article on the website has been edited to say it'll begin in 'early January' (which is still a lie) but I'm sure they announced a date before.

According to the Radio Times it's going to be on the red button after the main episodes as well as on iPlayer.
