Might be. She said it was in a club. I doubt there is loads in Pakistan but plenty in London. Did she abandon her before she went. Through that scene looks like thee will be a further twist as well. |

And she might of gone to London when she left in 2008 and then gave birth in 2009. |

I might be wrong though but I think another baby in the which would be 7 would be overkill unless Kat and Alfie leave this year. |

It was Amira and Chelsea who did pregnancy tests. Chelsea was the only person who knew Amira was pregnant until she returned with Yasmin. |

The article says the baby was left on '___________ Green' which sounds like a British place to me. I like this as a secret because it's not a dead end secret. It has scope and somewhere to go. Unlike Peter's secret about his dead friend which is stuck in the past - this story of Shabnam's actually has somewhere to go. |

It looks like Bethnal Green to me. Police are searching for the mother of a baby girl found abandoned on a doorstep in Bethnal Green yesterday. The newborn, weighing 6lbs 7(?)oz, was discovered by a man walking his dog at around 7am. The resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, said 'we heard a noise coming from the box. I thought it was a kitten. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw there was a tiny baby inside'. Police are very concerned for the welfare of the mother and believe she may need urgent medical(?) treatment. They are appealing or her to make contact with her doctor or local police. The baby is in a stable(?) condition and being looked after in London General Hospital. Social services have been working closely with officers and are making every effort to reunite the child with her mother. Anyone with information should contact 0207... I really couldn't give a damn. Shabs was interesting when she first rejoined and I thought her secret was going to be something new like a eating disorder. Last week she thought she lost the article but then she found it started grinning like an idiot before hugging it like she was proud. I find her incredibly bland and dreary. Zainab did the loveable bitchy character who was a bigot far better than Shab does. Stacey and Kush could do with better material, better characters and actors. No chemistry with Shabs and Kush whatsoever. It was like watching Grange Hill aka Rack all over again just painful. |

Your approval is neither desired nor required. Julia Smith "We decided to go for a realistic, fairly outspoken type of drama which could encompass stories about homosexuality, rape, unemployment, racial prejudice, etc., in a believable context. Above all, we wanted realism". | |

I love Shabnam and this storyline has captured my heart already. Shabnam comes from a family who are (when it suits them) generally meant to be traditional. Are they? No. They are hypocritical, but Shabnam would have known she couldn't have a baby out of wedlock. The "secret baby" is a traditional soap trope, but the context is completely new and the inner conflict is so real and honest. Excited to hear more details tomorrow. |
| "I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver | |

I know. I await for Masood's rage when he finds out. It's those kinds of times when I'm reminded that Masood is not one of my faves. |

Good article. Right hospital as well for Bethnal Green which of course would only be 10 minutes from where Walford as its supposed to be Bow. So did it happen in 2008 or now. Surley Zainab return is approaching as we need to see her reaction on screen. We cant just hear Tam or Massod tell her over the phone and her not even returning |

Can you imagine if Shabnam's next bombshell is that the father of her baby was Sean...

Not sure if or how this contradicts anything that happened back in 2008, but I am so up for this if it slots in logistically. |

Eh? When she thought Kush was rooting through her bag she had only one thing on her mind - That article of her baby. I think you saw a different scene than most because at no point was she grinning at or hugging the article like she was proud of what she had done, you just needed to see today's episode to see how devastated she truly feels about that. I don't think Zainab was ever a bigot like Shabnam markII was when she first appeared - she was homophobic yes, but she had overcome that towards the end. With Shabnam, initially, she made a few bigoted comments but she has come on leaps and bounds since then - and if someone like Jim can do it in the latter period of his life I'm sure she can. It's interesting because she admits she's a hypocrite and she doesn't deserve to wear the hijab but is still trying to fool herself into beleiveing she is "pure" and "righteous". Hoping there's more to this baby plot than it seems from tomorrow's episode. Edited by Mr Carter, 30 Jan 2015, 00:17.

Well, Sean was with Roxy at the time - and she was about to give birth to Amy. IIRC, Sean was rather nervous about fatherhood looming. Could the answer to his nerves have been going to the R&R, getting drunk and sleeping with Shabnam behind Roxy's back?
