Today is the day...and she's written Sharon and Kathy's first interaction for 20 years!

I never pay too much attention to the writers so the adulation for some over others gets a bit lost on me. I know Sarah Phelps gets more than most and I'm certain that I've seen wonderful episodes written by her that backs this up, just need my memory refreshed. What episodes has she written before?

Bar Alfie/Nana in Normandy which I struggle to recollect, that's a fine roster of episodes. Particularly the anniversary episode, Pat/Frank and Paul Trueman's exit.

Less then an hour to go. Sarah knows Sharon inside out so this should he good! She wrote some brilliant episodes for the Watts and also Sharon and Dennis as a couple including the first time they slept together in 2003 (which was also the episode Den Returned) and their wedding day in 2005.

I genuinely think Den's return episodes are some of the best written the show has ever had. Such an honest portrayal of something so extraordinary.
"I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver

Agreed they were such emotional heartbreaking and dramatic episodes, Letitia was on fire during those episodes and that's mainly down the great writing with Sarah knowing Sharon and her history so well that allowed Letitia to give a brilliant performance.

Talking about returning from the dead, there's an article on DS about Paul Trueman asking if he should return from the dead. Bit difficult given Patrick identified his body...then again, what if they did another Den for that storyline? Personally, I hope they just leave it be and that it's just DS getting ahead of themselves. Gary Beadle isn't interested either.

Wonder who is the writer of Ian and Kathy's reunion? Anymore James Payne episodes coming up?
