Wait a minute ... When does Nick actually die? It just says he asks for drugs at the end of the month. He may not be killed until March. If John Altman's on a six-month contract, he may not be leaving until April or May. It's very plausible that Dot might cover for Charlie, but Charlie wouldn't kill Nick. But Ronnie would. This is SoapLand, and if Jack can impregnate someone whilst comatose, then psychopath Veronica will walk out of that hospital, after asking for Eggs Benedict for breakfast and champagne to wash them down. This is the Bride of Frankenstein - no difficulty walking, no problems in talking, no drooling, no brain damage. Just like Carol Jackson miraculously seems to have sprouted a new set of breasts without reconstructive surgery, then Ronnie will march right out of that hospital and kill Nick. She's got form. |

I'm sure he'll die of a drug overdose, that way he can die in the chair. |

Are you positively sure that he dies on the 10th, or is it that Dot starts buying heroin for him? Because, quite honestly, with Nick's death being discovered and Lucy's being revealed - i.e., the resolution of one murder mystery and the initiation of another - smacks of one or two things: over-egging, something for which this producer is well-known; or the revelation of the murderer's identity will be underwhelming enough for Nick's death to be the contingency plan, and the mystery surrounding whether or not Dot was actually responsible will run until Christmas. Pardon my cynicism, but if this is the case, then Abi will most likely be the murderer. |

Nooooo. Dot buying drugs happens on the 10th. He will die during anniversary week. Probably of an overdose. In an old green chair. In the exact same spot as Reg Cox. |

I don't think Nick is going to be murdered at all it more or less implies his long standing addiction to heroin will do him in. This is his final bow and it's rather apt he will die in the ruins of the house he committed his first murder and given how the theme of repeating history has come into play with Nick over this stint it makes perfect sense. |

So if he dies of an OD, the police find out that Dot bought them for him, Dot goes down as his supplier, and because he died of a product she supplied, she is culpable. Would that work? She gets off because of age or some other such reason. |

I think it's more to do with the fact that Dot will feel immensely guilty and responsible. She may find Nick dead and walk to straight to the police station to confess... |

Sooooo I reckon Dot's 'accomplice' will be Richard Blackwood. Peter's dealer and Nick's dealer. |

I suspect you're right. The murder part of it comes in by dot knew the heroin was going to kill him. Or make him seriously ill. |

The murder part would be that she supplied someone with a class A drug and it killed them. It would be as simple as that. I don't think she will get prosecuted though, or at least not for murder. Edited by SamA, 13 Feb 2015, 23:40.

I don't think it was murder as she never intentionally sought out to kill her own son. She simply gave up and left him to suffer in his own demise which he, himself, ultimately constructed. |

So I guess we need the next generation to kick the door in: A Watts A Fowler A Osman No Osman left, I cant see Denny there, so Martin (Fowler) Ben (Stepmum Watts) & Jay? (no link to Osman but probably more like Den that Ben will ever be) |

Only way Dot will be charged with anything is if she tainted the heroin herself. Since Nick didn't die of an overdose, he died of injected impure heroin. |

There have been similar cases in the past where a person has supplied drugs which ultimately lead to the recipient's death. I imagine that's the line they're going to take. Dot couldn't be convicted because, even though she gave the drugs to Nick, it was still his choice to actually inject the heroin. |
