On Tuesday 27 Jan between 8pm - 9pm BBC Three will airing a countdown of cliffhangers from the soap's 30 year history, revealing which characters have featured most often in the suspense-filled moments before the show's signature drum intro signals the end of an episode.

Not sure how similar this will be to the The Greatest Cliffhangers, but should be good!

This is exciting! Nice to see there'll be doing some televised specials for the anniversary.

Ah this is nice to see. Quite similar to the one for 25th anniversary but good to have an update as lots has changed since then. Should get some good interviews as well.

I am not that excited as its very similar to the one we had just before the 25th. I am really hoping DTC has some original stuff to put out before the 30th.

I was really interested in Back to Ours but it has been strangely delayed and the line-up is a bit naff. Outside of the ever-vanishing Back to Ours and the updated Cliffhanger show what else is there?

There's going to be an aftermath show after the LIVE isn't there?

Oh yeah there's that. Here's hoping it will be better than the botched Aftermath show of the 25th.

I hope it's not as irritating as the 25th anniversary one. I vaguely remember that woman of SMart racing through tonnes of characters at lightning speed and cobbling together clips of cast members saying anything vaguely relevant to the character being described.

I can't imagine there'll be much new material. I can count the number of memorable duff duffs since 2010 on one hand.

Memorable or not it has shifted the shape of the duff duff count and it would be nice if they did all new interviews for it.

It looks like the Aftermath will be presented by Zoe Ball. A very capable presenter and a genuine viewer of EastEnders.

Back To Ours begins on January 27th, which is the same day as the Cliffhangers programme.

Kirsten O'Brien still hanging on in there.

Or you could save yourself the hour and check out NevermindMe's count. I'll watch it anyway, but I honestly couldn't even guess who was where when they did it for the 25th.

If it means the clips can be used for anything like this I am all for it.

Something really very strange and uncanny about seeing them talk about stuff that has only just happened. It's literally like someone has swooped in and updated the 2010 version with all these new shiny characters.

That's odd they are using some of the exact interviews as they did on the 25th. With the exception of characters who werent around them the Carters for example all the others are from the 25 special.
The Michelle, Perry, Jake, Steve and Martin etc ones are all from the 25th.

Danny, Kellie, Laurie, Johnny, Nina and Dom are all new interviews. I suppose we should just view it as a bit of an update.
