Danny, Kellie, Laurie, Johnny, Nina and Dom are all new interviews. I suppose we should just view it as a bit of an update.
Be interesting to see what Dom says as I remember his interviews for the 25th but props for giving the exact same background so looks like it as all filmed around the same time.
Your approval is neither desired nor required.

Julia Smith "We decided to go for a realistic, fairly outspoken type of drama which could encompass stories about homosexuality, rape, unemployment, racial prejudice, etc., in a believable context. Above all, we wanted realism".

You can tell Jake Wood looks five years less sexy younger.

New interview with Nina Wadia though, hopefully that means Zainab's on her way back.

Is it me or does John Partridge have a trout pout going on?

How have characters who left over five years ago changed order since the last countdown?

Newer characters will have taken over them.

Who has changed order? Unless you mean they've simply dropped lower which makes sense.

We went straight from Ali Osman to Irene Raymond. On the last countdown Mary Smith, Andy Hunter and Dan Sullivan were all between the two. None of them will have got more cliffhangers in the last five years so should be in the same order even if other people have moved up to come between them.

Maybe they were all tied?

Paul Trueman really is the best character in the history of fiction...

Ugh. I love Charlie Brooks in the scene where Paul smashes up the Vic.

It's possible that there was a tie so they prioritised newer characters so that they wouldn't be repeating all the same stuff.

Egh some of the updating is really skethcy. They had to explain who Carol was for new viewers back then, that line should have been cut. Also they said Heather's biggest doof doof was Darren in the hospital and didn't even mention her death.

All this time and I still can't quite get over how badly edited that Kevin/Shirley crash was.

Shirley 'feeling 14 again' in 2008 means something slightly different in 2015.

Why is Laurie speaking in her fake English accent?

We have all seen Waterloo Road Laurie! You ain't foolin' anyone!
"I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver

Mandy's 2011-2012 stint overlooked. They really don't want to reference the Kirkwood era much do they. :ermm:

I think her bit was in the 25th version, so she hadn't been in Waterloo Road by then.
