Was it supposed to be scary or dark comedy? My aunt and I were ending ourselves. Was it supposed to be just the suspects? I am confused because Mick and Linda were the only ones not on the list there?
Sharon was in there too. I think it was just supposed to be everyone.

I can't say I found it creepy (and I am a huge wimp) I thought it was a bit cringey to be honest.

Must admit, I did laugh at Lucy appearing on the Beale's roof. They should've showed her waving over to Bradley on the Vic roof.

Good trailer though.

I don't know if the picture was bad because I was watching online but the shot of Lucy reminded me of the vampire brides in Van Helsing.

Notice the very last shot. All gathered around the gate, looking at it.

I hate trailers like that. I'd much prefer to see scenes of upcoming episodes instead.

Fair enough but it was cringey and dark comedy which I am not keen on what is supposed to be gritty murder becoming a joke. You wouldn't do it for a rape plot so I would have preferred something a bit darker this just comical. We were laughing.
Your approval is neither desired nor required.

Julia Smith "We decided to go for a realistic, fairly outspoken type of drama which could encompass stories about homosexuality, rape, unemployment, racial prejudice, etc., in a believable context. Above all, we wanted realism".

You beat me to it... I had this vision of Bradley shouting "Cold up here, innnit?" from the Queen Vic rooftop.

I love the new trailer, but it's as camp as a row of tents. :P

We're talking about it, so it's doing what it's meant to I suppose.
"I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver

True I don't mind the off the wall trailers just I think on this subject its a bit bad taste. Like I said other gritty plots they wouldn't dream of it so not really a good thing to me.

Seen three mentions in a row on my Facebook newsfeed, two saying the advert gave them goosebumps, the other commenting on how "sick" it is. :P

Yeah, I get what you mean. The horror aspect does take away from the domestic and truthful emotion that's grounded the story at various points over the past 8 months.

Still a very tense and interesting trailer. It does twist what you'd expect for a general viewer.

How was it supposed to be comedic or dark comedy? It was just highlighting that Lucy is still around in a metaphorical sense, she still hangs over the people grieving over her and the person who killed her. The last shot maybe, but it wasn't intended.

I know what you mean but if you look at in an analytical sense it shows how Lucy is still hanging over the Square and she may be gone but she isn't gone from everybody's minds. Maybe that's juet me being a literature student and an ex media student though.

It may be a domestic and truthful storyline but it is also a soap whodunnit storyline which is full of conventional twists and turns, so they need to create hype and interest for it. Who says it can't be both those things?

Love that the noise in the background was the theme tune slowed down.

It's a trailer. They're not saying death is funny. Just like the everybody hurts trailer didn't suggest that all rape victims sit in a bathtub belting out R.E.M.

Was the everybody hurts trailer supposed to be funny?
I am certain this trailer was dark comedy.
Like I said don't mind the off the wall trailer but it was hilarious. Not sure that was the image they were trying to portray or I hope not.

Surely that's just down to your sense of humour? I'm sure to the majority it wasn't really funny, it was quite creepy and I think there was a deeper meaning to it. Could just be me though.
