So if the gate is involved, would that be Gategate?

The handprints running down the chippy windows made me shudder.
Happy Christmas Ange.

The Salt killed Lucy. Jane was serving fish and chips, it's likely someone used Salt.

Oh my god!!!! We cracked the fucker!

Jane's car appears again. There must be some significance to it!
Lucy's body was in that boot at some point during the night of Good Friday ;)

Sometimes this place is really hilarious.

Liked the cinematography in some of those shots. The stills are quite evocative. Haven't seen the moving version yet :)

FWIW, I thought the trailer was good. In every aspect. And chilling. Not funny in the least. Why would a murder mystery involving the violent death of a young girl lend itself to dark humour?

I thought it was a great concept. Lucy is still hanging over the residents and haunting the guilty ones.

I'm thinking all the major players in the trailer saw Lucy before she died.

Completely agree! We seem to be doing that a lot lately. ;)

It seemed very much like a black comedy made by a first year college student. Amateur hour all over, much like that morally repugnant Everybody Hurts trailer.

As I was saying to someone just because somebody doesn't like a trailer isn't a terrible thing. If anything indeed why would it be dark comedy? That's the point I didn't get it I actually thought it was amusing. I wasn't chilled and I don't think that reflects badly on anyone who felt similar. I don't get the aggression at all.
For me I preferred the other trailer for Lucy and one I felt was chilling before was the Peggy and Archie one. Different tastes I guess.

Your approval is neither desired nor required.

Julia Smith "We decided to go for a realistic, fairly outspoken type of drama which could encompass stories about homosexuality, rape, unemployment, racial prejudice, etc., in a believable context. Above all, we wanted realism".

I didn't realise Lucy's hands were that big :p

That shot of the camera panning onto Denise's back was amazing.

Let the games begin.

Basically sums up Stacey's place so far since her return. Love it.
She's just smug because she knows it's not her this time.

People all over the interwebs are calling this "cheesy." Oh, pleasy. It's a PROMO, for chrissakes.

And gee, thanks, Mr James, I'll be having nightmares from that photo of the Cokers and I'm already anxious about what kind of mess I'll be waking up to in NYC tomorrow.

Oh christ, it's a trailer... not meant to be taken seriously in the slightest. For the record, I found it more on the comedic side than the scary side but it didn't take away from the impact.

The trailer flaunts horror conventions in a knowing way (which may account for the comic interpretation by some viewers) but I find it very effective.
Seeing Lucy on the rooftop, looking out over the crime scene, reminds me of Alice Sebold's brilliant novel The Lovely Bones, written from the perspective of a murdered girl.
