I tend to have a soft spot for dominant and/or transgressive females so my all time favourite is Pauline closely followed by Janine

Steve Owen is mine as well, Mitch...closely followed by Michael Moon. Longing for a good Kray-style character war.

Martin Kemp was brilliant in the Krays, it's one of my favourite films. Alas, I wasn't a massive fan of Michael Moon. Another Kray like character in Dan Sullivan would be up there though.

1) David Wicks - Only three years tops on the show but hands down my favorite EE character, a big part of the character success was down to how effortlessly Michael French brought David Wicks to life with great impact, the complexity with shades of grey(unlike Nick Cotton) surrounding the character, his aloofness especially from the Beale/Fowler clan, his history son of Pete and Pat and his dialogue and word play was genius at times.

2) Ian Beale - When written right Ian is the soul of the show the nearest the show has to a central character with the exception of Sharon, in terms of longevity the greatest character like Ken in corrie never tires.

3) Sharon Watts(1985 -2006) - Not going to lie it's hard watching Sharon on screen for me she has become desperate yes she still the tough go getter she has always been but I feel she has been cheapened since returning playing second fiddle to the likes of Tanya and Sharon is quiet pathetic, her instant forgiveness for Phil over his part he played in Dennis's murder and the way she used Dennis death to get Max to sign over the arches is a disgrace and how she has becoming into a mini clone of Peggy is hideous however I will chose to remember Sharon at her best.
