You know I love Janine but I agree with Charlie, she works better when she's rested every so often. It's too soon for a return yet, give it a couple of years. |

At least some petty EP didnt kill her off! But I do agree with Becs, she does work bst after a rest. I would like to see her back, but in the same mode as she left: rich, powerful and independent (and with Scarlett!) |

Janine should come back. Don't see her as the Vic landlady...can you see her doing Karaoke or pouring drinks for anyone she despises?? I'd rather see her on the other side of the bar, doing deals, telling lies, planning her next victim... |

It's weird how Janine is taken so differently between different viewers. The reason I love Janine is because whilst she does bad and immoral things, there is always an explanation for it. Her traumatic adolescence led her to be frightened of being vulnerable and that has triggered all those wicked things she has done over the years. I don't see her as evil, I see her as a woman who is desperate to survive, at whatever cost. Other people however will love Janine because they want to see what injustice she does next. The way one character can capture so many viewers, for such a vast range of reasons, is special. |
| "I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver | |

Your first two lines is pretty much how I see her. But I think she is a woman who has come to terms with herself. She wont let anyone take advantage of her again, but I think she is still pretty vulnerable in the love dept, which is why she will do anything to protect Scarlett. In her own way, she does look after those who have tried to look after her in the past - look a the way she is with Billy. Will love to see her back in a couple of years. Janine and Sharon ruling the Square (from different corners!), we might actually be getting back on track. |

Hardly surprising she wants a return; the show is on a roll and why wouldn't she want a part of that? |

Watching her refuse to serve people she doesn't like and kicking people out for the fun of it is why she should be land lady. I'm hoping for a return in a few years. I do love the carters in the vic and personally don't see them as a family who would work without the pub (if anything because they've expressed that a pub gas always been their home/work) |

I could definitely see Janine in a Sharon circa 2001 way, as the next Queen Vic landlady. |
