Shabnam and Stacey- I have liked their scenes recently so hope they continue, they are very natural together.

Too many to list. Stupid block storytelling. The cast has been segregated into groups to make filming easier but the end result is that a lot of them barely interact. It also doesn't help that the show has become extremely plot heavy. They're not allowing themselves time for simple character interaction.

Has anybody else noticed recently that when Shabnam is in the minute mart the only people who actually enter it and talk to her are Tamwar, Masood and Kush? You could have anything in there from Abi and Liam discussing Dot's bunions to Mo having a go at Sharon and Kat all involving Shabnam. It's a supermarket so any combination of characters is possible and this is what we get? Be more creative damn it.

In any case:

Liam and pretty much everyone. I don't think anyone is going to be suprised by me saying that. It's way past time they developed some more relationships with him. How can a character who has more relatives than anybody else in the history of the show* somehow have so few actual relationships with other characters after 7 straight years they could have used to built them?

*along with Tiffany.

Carol with both Denise and Ian. Carol and Ian seem to have an understanding and it'd be interesting to explore that more. Denise and Carol could both do with a friend as well as the new dynamics it could provide them.

Lola with pretty much everyone. Admittedly they did develop a lot of relationships with her over the years but we barely see her anymore.

Jay and Patrick. A relationship that the writers only seem to remember every 18 months or so. Even when Jay lived with him following the Heather reveal we never really got any scenes with them together.

Sharon with Jay and Ben. Specifically when they're not involved in yet another Mitchell crisis.

Sharon and Denny. [hides from incoming tomatoes]. Say what you like but he is her son and he does exist. They need to stop pretending he doesn't.

Rebecca and an anti invisibility potion. She's been there for over a year. It's time she became a character rather than a source of confusion as people try to remember who she is on the rare occasions when she turns up.

Nancy and Lee with people who are not direct family or potential love interests. They need to get out more.

Max and a sex addiction counsellor. That guy has issues and I stopped caring about his love life about 3 or 4 women ago.

Every minute that was written for Sonia should be re-written for Lola. Give the girl more to do and make her give back Bianca's puffy coat.

It absolutely baffles me why they don't utilise Mo at all. Granted, Laila is limited in her performances, but she's good enough to take on a more serious role. This woman's done time in prison. She's buried a child. Harboured family secrets for decades. She is a massive plot waiting to happen and with unexplored children and a 15 year history in the show, as well as links to some massive characters, she deserves her moment.

Get that ball rolling with Rebecca. It's a scene waiting to happen.
I thought it was a bit of a pisstake how they had her tell Kat about Harry's money off-screen.

A Mo/Rebecca scene doesn't even need to be anything groundbreaking, it's just a small thing I want acknowledged, like the fact Phil is Liam's godfather etc.

Is it bad that I want Grant back just to see the look on his face when he crosses paths with grown up Liam. "Didn't I help deliver you. Damn I'm getting old."

Roxy and Stacey. These two have links with Sean and obviously Archie. There was potential for a feud there but instead Roxy just shrugged her shoulders.

A small moment between Mo and Rebecca might be nice but I can't see the need for anything further.

I would like to see more interaction between Linda and Shirley.
So far they have been pitted against each other in the rape storyline (always mediated by Mick and Dean) but the few scenes they did share had a lot of dramatic potential. A two-hander with Kellie Bright and Linda Henry would be a dream come true.
