Cackling. Despite being desperately excited to see a Victoria Sponged Sonia, Kats downward spiral finally getting some momentum is brilliant. Hopefully it will be something special. |
| "I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver | |

My least favourite aspect of Kat, the cackling abusive bully, but Sonia gets the blunt of it... I think I can enjoy this. |

As I just said in the 30th Anniversary thread, it's so hypocritical that this will be played as a signpost of Kat's out of control behaviour, but the same sort of behaviour that's been directed at Tamwar for two years is meant to have us all screaming "You go girl" at our tellys. Go figure.

I can see both sides of it really. First thought was as it's Sonia, if Kat is completely over the top, it won't go down that badly because it's Sonia, whose behaviour has been horrid since she returned with very few exceptions. I do hope Sonia makes some comment rather than it just being a drunken scene designed to echo the 25th anniversary when Ronnie pushed Janine into Bianca and Ricky's cake. If Sonia says something about Kat's past and Kat's just found out the full story about Harry, it'd be a lot more understandable. Why did Kat and Alfie have to split again? Too much cleavage; for the most part, Kat dressed a lot more respectably in 2013-14 when they were together. Edited by Kim, 8 Feb 2015, 02:16.

Sick of seeing Kats boobs popping out all the time, sick of her screeching and bullying, sick of her amd Alfie splitting up every five minutes and then the inevitable getting back together. They spend more time splitting up and getting back together than they actually being together. Please Mr DTC, they are not loves young dream nor the romance of the Century. Please, either put them back and leave them, or let them both move on. If they move on, then can one move out? If I see Alfie mooning (no pun intended) over her one more time, can I send you the bill for my new TV? |

I am so finished with the Moons. They will inevitably re-unite when Kat's hit rock bottom, neglected the children etc. Alfie will win the Lottery, pick her up, she'll say he's her Man in the Moon, and then they should leave. Seriously. Kirkwood ruined them, Newman was only interested in repairing Kat, and DTC doesn't really give a toss about them except that they are one of a dwindling element of long-term characters. They should go. Now. |

I just don't see the problems that everyone else sees with Kat & Alfie. I feel a bit left out. I'm very aware that her current behaviour is a part of a bigger problem. |

Let's shove someone into a wedding cake that joke neeeeeeever gets old. I do love playing cliché bingo but what have all those poor cakes ever done to deserve such abuse? |

The "problem" is like a broken record. People complain that Ian Beale never learns from his mistakes, his past actions and his foibles. When Kat's particular problem was revealed, people were extremely sympathetic to her plight, and Alfie was the person who rescued her from her past, ministered to her issues and - when they left in 2005 - redeemed her. Fast forward five years, and we see that she's only worse than she was before. In effect, the abused had become the abuser. Now, all it takes is news of a tainted inheritance to set it all off again, and this was after a brilliant episode where she talked Whitney out of the same issue-driven behaviour. And we all got tired of Whitney falling for the nice bloke only to shit on him from a great height once the next bad boy put in an appearance. Sooner or later, people have to take responsibility for their lives, and that means dealing with any past traumas that affect their current behaviour. When Kat acted out before, she had Alfie to care for their son; now she'll easily lumber Stacey and Big Mo with the kids, because she's being obtuse and not allowing Alfie access. People are just tired of the same old same old from some characters, and Kat seems to be the one who's most apt to repeat such tripe. Either she helps herself by seeing some sort of qualified counsellor - something EastEnders will never ever do - or she reconciles with Alfie and they leave Walford. It's obvious that TPTB don't rate them a big priority and they're spent due to irreparable damage done by Kirkwood. |

I can't stand Sonia, I want her gone but if Kat has pushed her face into a cake based on her thinking that Sonia is simply looking at her, this is horrendous bullying and flat out assault (notwithstanding that Sonia is a bully herself to her daughter no less, it doesn't make it right) and yet, if anyone offends the precious Kat's sensibilities, she wails, screams and shouts the place down about how life is unfair. She is a classic case of someone who can give it out (Tamwar, possibly Sonia) but can't take it. I'm not looking forward to this, the two most irritating characters on the show who both need to go. |
![]() Walford is about to change, lives are about to be destroyed, alliances will begin and the residents will never be the same again. Welcome to "Dungeon". New fan fic, coming soon... Thanks Nick M for the brilliant sig! | |

Somebody needs to take the both of them out back and smack some sense into them. Not with open palmed but with a closed fist preferably. |
