I am totally wired and tired at the same time so I will try and remember as much as possible and add more when I get home... As per my Prediction, Nick dies Friday 13th. They showed the first minute or two of Thursday 19th. It is very cinematic, beginning with a shot of abdevastated Jane staring into a puddle outside the Vic. We then see a swooping shot of the cast in the Vic whilst Dot monologues about evil deeds not making an evil person. Adam made it very obvious he knows who the killer is. Something about the way they were acting and talking led me to think either Jane or Peter is the killer. Richard Blackwood's charactet has a lot of money but as of yet has no home on the Square. Hetti *didn't* know she was coming back for the anniversary until a month before they shot the flashback. Danny Dyer says him and Linda have a lot to do that week but thr majority of work falls to Adam. June Brown looked very uncomfortable and upset about Nick dying but John seemed happy about it. I don't know if it'll be in the broadcast but there were some great filthy anecdotes from Tish and Shane. The 9 main guests were Danny, Kellie, Adam and Tish (group 1) followed by June, John, Shane, Jessie and Pam (group 2). There were about 15 more castmembers in the crowd including Hetti, Ben, Laurie, Matt D'A, Ricky Groves, Dean Gaffney, Natalie and the Foxes. Oh and Masood and Kush. And Mary the Punk!!! Jane Slaughter got a lot of screentime and an amazing sketch at the end. I refuse to spoil this! |

Per the Nick death I think it's a great choice story-wise as he has reached an apex but this stint has been his best I've seen. |

Thanks for the detailed report, Sey, much appreciated. And glad you had a great time! The 19th sounds like it's going to be epic judging by the description of the intro alone. You've also convinced me further that Peter is the killer, something I have mixed feelings about. Hope those anecdotes make it in. Since it's Graham, I imagine they will! |

If is it Peter it would be very interesting, however, the shock factor wouldn't be there as we already know the actor is departing from the show. Still, (and I know I sound like a broken record) I'd rather it was him than Abi Branning. |

With Nick dead and a known villain, it will be easier to pin Lucy's death on him post-mortem, so Peter the real killer can leave the Square undeterred. |

Mary the Punk! Gosh. Can't wait to see her! This all sounds brilliant! The opening of the 19th episode sounds absolutely epic. Something quite fitting about Nick returning on Halloween and dying on Friday the 13th. Thank you for all of these, brilliant. |

Thanks Sey Interesting that Hetti didn't know she would be coming back. I'd assumed it was planned all along and they would have had to make sure she was available. Maybe they did only do the flashback because that's what people wanted? |

I imagine that the majority of families will do. The wedding reception is also being held at The Vic so the Carters will be in the background in those scenes as well. The thirtieth is a celebration for the whole show, which the Carters are a part of. They had to feature somehow and you'd be kidding yourself if you thought one of the shows most popular families wouldn't be on showcase during the tour de force that the thirtieth promises to be. |

I agree, as much as I think the Carter's are too overexposed atm and need a on screen break soon, they are a nod to the future alongside to the nods of the past that we will get during the big anniversary week! |

I would honestly take that with a pinch of salt (as in what Danny said). It seems to me that everyone is involved a significant amount... we know Kim's going to give birth live for example. The Carters will be there, but they certainly won't take the lead, which is what I expected all along. I think they've purposefully tried to make it as ensemble as possible after the 25th anniversary which was very Mitchell/Branning/Jackson heavy. |

Jane Slaughter is a total legend . The way that she has played Tracy over the years has been brilliant and the way we love that character despite her barely speaking says it all . |

Thanks for all the info Hmm filthy anecdotes from Tish? Now why doesn't that surprise me! Yeah I think Adam was told in January who the killer was wasn't he? And Mary the Punk, a proper blast from the past! as I've been watching 1985/1986 episodes on youtube recently I'm very happy about this. Looking forward to this even more now! |

Just remembered Maddie Hill was there too. DAT ASS. It did feel a bit odd that the Brannings and Mitchell's had absolutely zero representation outside of Tish and June, tenuously. Even if they couldn't get the big hitters it would have been lovely to see Perry, Rita, Jamie and Scott Maslen in the crowd. You won't see it on screen unfortunately but the first group (Danny, Kellie, Adam and Tish) were sent over to the Queen Vic set on the side of the stage during the second interviews and they were all taking the piss out of Graham and the others to pass the time! Being in the front row meant I could hear some of their smut XD DTC and his two stooges were hanging out at the front before the show began and admiring the Queen Vic and I gotta admit I felt kinda sorry for him that not a single person seemed to recognise him... |

To be fair, it's not DTC's job to be recognised - he's very much the puppeteer, not the face of the show. We always remember the big storylines and characters but not the people who orchestrated them. It sounds fantastic - really excited to see the cast just chilling and having a laugh, and I'm so psyched for next week as a whole now! Thanks for posting. |

I agree. This time the EP has the balance right for the 30th. The 25th ended up featuring, mostly, the Brannings, with Bianca's and Ricky's wedding as background, and "Old Walford" standing around or featuring in that token scene of Dot and Ian watching an old tape of long-dead/gone characters. The Carters front the Vic, and of course, they'll be around and will probably have something to do with their own storylines, but I think the other characters will be at the forefront. |
