Really loved that. A great celebratory way to kick off the week. And I've watched the clip from Thursday's episode about ten times. Amazing. |

It was great except for the part where Shane Richie claimed he was supposed to have an affair with Peggy . Sounded a bit ridiculous.Did love Letitia and June Brown is a complete nutter! Edited by Planck, 17 Feb 2015, 01:05.

I always thought Alfie and Kat were planned from the start, and that's why his name is Moon? There were Dennis and Peggy rumours as well, I'm not sure I believe either of them. I know Shane auditioned for other parts, so maybe they saw him and Jessie together in auditions? Edited by Katie, 17 Feb 2015, 01:11.

Alfie and Kat weren't planned until that initial scene with them. I hadn't heard the Peggy-Alfie rumours, but there have been subsequent cougar rumours about Peggy - Dennis and then Sean were mooted. I really like Danny Dyer. I never thought I'd say that, but he came across very well in those interviews, and seems to have a genuine affection for the show. |

I am almost certain Shane was joking about the Alfie/Peggy rumours - he was being sarcastic. I said when I was there on the night that Tish and June were in fine form and said to same with the person I was watching with tonight. They cut very little out which was nice and the hour flew in! |

I guess they called him Moon as a precautionary thing until they saw Kat & Alfie on screen together. |

What does Pam say about June in her book? Just watched the show and Shane was absolutely serious about Alfie and Peggy. The audience laughed at the prospect when he brought it up and he said "No, really!" I do think he was telling a fib about Alfie and Kat not originally being intended for each other, though-Tony Jordan clearly wrote in Alfie to be, among other things, Kat's eventual love interest. As always for me Tracey stole the show, I do admire that woman so much. Mind you 30 years in a show just on the background , she deserves a Dame hood

They cut about 10 minutes of June's interview which was probably for the best. Embarrassing seeing myself in the audience... the camera reslly does add 10 pounds... of sexiness

Now, be honest - that photo of the case notes completely covering the wall belongs to someone on here, yes? They'd have had a field day if they'd checked some of the theories/obsessions on here! |

What a wonderful show... watched it on iPlayer this morning during breakfast (it made me late for work, actually, but hey: it's anniversary week!), but I'm sure I'll be watching it again in a week or so... if only to see if there were indeed any hidden clues about the Lucy Beale case. Just one question: was she just acting, or is Tish every inch as camp as Sharon in real life?

Has there ever been any rumours about Pam and Junes relationship? They definitely didn't seem on great terms during the show. What a fab show it was! I just love how vulgar Jessie was, sandwiched between Pam St Clement and June Brown. She's like that mate you love to go for a drink with. I also didn't think anyone could be camper than Sharon. Enter Tish..... Love it. |
| "I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver | |

I didn't spot any Pam/June anomosity. June said "It's lovely to see Pam!" when Pam walked on. |

I thought it was more the little eye roll Pam gave, plus we've never really seen much of them together. But I'm obsessed with on set feuds so don't mind me. |

I don't think June came off particularly well in that, but then I didn't really like her in her last Graham Norton interview. She knows how to play the audience, I'll give her that, but her doddery 'lost my marbles' act is a little bit tiring, especially when she just uses it as an excuse to steal the limelight away from other people. |

I read in a magazine once that Alfie and Kat weren't originally intended to be together, and that his initial surname was.... can you believe it... Carter. The surname was changed to Moon because of Man in The Moon. It does seem questionable though, not least because Alfie and Peggy sounds ridiculous. Shane and Jessie said in their Back to Ours that Alfie was based on Tony Jordan and Kat on his wife. If they weren't intended to be together, why would he base them on him and his wife? |

Jessie didn't seem too thrilled to be sharing the sofa with June. She looked annoyed when June was speaking. |
