Jessie didn't seem too thrilled to be sharing the sofa with June. She looked annoyed when June was speaking.
I picked up on this too. Everytime June spoke Jesse had a look kind of like 'oh here we go again...'

I don't think I could have coped with ten more minutes of June Brown. She overdoes the theatrical eccentric stuff for me. I did notice a slight frisson of weariness from both Pam and Jessie.

I don't think I've seen Jessie in anything and felt that she looked like she wanted to be there. She's wonderfully aloof.

She's been quite natural when she's been on the Graham Norton show before. I think she gets on with Graham but she's normally quite bemused by some of his other guests.

I'd imagine June is quite a difficult person to be around. Whilst she is a legend of British TV, I could see how her abrupt nature could be annoying, especially for strong characters, like Pam and Jessie.

Babs is another one I can see being a real pain in the Wellard away from the cameras.
"I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver

I think it's red carpet interviews and things like it where she seems distant and disinterested. Clearly she isn't someone who wants to be famous, but wants to act.

There was a great moment when she was on the show around the time of the baby swap. Kim Cattrall reminded her of the fact she lost out on a BAFTA win that year and Jessie just looked at her like she'd kicked a puppy.

I picked up on Jessie but I quite liked it. She seems more normal than June, who's shoebox.

Edit: showbiz not shoebox. Bloody iphone.

I'm glad people have mentioned June, I always dislike the way she acts as if she hasn't a clue what's going on around her.

Just before they started shooting June was moaning in the Vic set about not having any wine. She had a go at one of the runners complaining that 'the boys get their beers.' Shane and one of the runners explained that it was non-alcoholic and she was making a real fuss about having to drink 'bloody Ribena,' which is why she was still going on about it on stage.

That's probably for the best. She was drunk when she was on Graham Norton with Lady Gaga.

"Tiger bread head" "what does that even mean?!"

"Come on get ya comes on get ya come ons"

Danny Dyer is just nuts and hilarious. Really loved that wish it lasted longer.

I'm pretty sure June gave Jessie an earful as soon as Jessie started having "behavioral problems" on and off set beginning a few years after the Slaters first joined. When June won her Lifetime Achievement British Soap Award only Hilda Braid (Nana Moon) and Jessie sat there stone-faced while everybody else seemed thrill with June receiving that honour. And neither cracked a smile at June's hilarious speech while everybody else laughed their socks off.

Yes, you can get iplayer in Kidderminster.

Anyway, caught up with this last night. Wonderful stuff. Graham clearly didn't know much about his own website!!!

And yes, great to see Linda Davidson. Nice that she still feels something for the show.
Happy Christmas Ange.
