I guess if he's staying he couldn't have killed his daughter then?

Or he could have and we might as well change the name of the show to "Killer's Haven"

He could if he has had a mental block regarding it, Jane and Ben (who I think would have covered it up) don't fill him in for his own sake and Nick posthumously takes the blame.
