On Tuesday we will be seeing Peggy return to Albert Square. Are you excited?

Definitely! I just finished watching Back To Ours with Pam and Babs, and it makes me so sad Pat isn't alive today as she most certainly would be there next week for the anniversary. I think how fabulous would it be if Pat had gone off to Spain and lived with Peggy, like two old birds on a long holiday. I always love seeing Peggy back on the Square. My only worry is with it being one episode and all the drama with the Mitchells and also she confronts Dot, that one episode simply isn't enough. But it will be great to see. |

I am looking forward to Peggy, very much so! I do, however, slightly fear the reaction - I'm not sure she'll have time to do everything that everybody wants her to do. |

Only if she has scenes with her family. I'm not here for Peggy/Mick and Peggy/Dot. |

But Peggy/Dot is needed, because of Dot's lie which imprisoned Phil. We don't need Peggy/Mick. |

Peggy/Dot isn't needed, they're just playing lip service to Babs and June's real life friendship. Peggy/Sharon is needed so they can correct Peggy's attitude towards Sharon from her appearance last year. |

I'm really hoping for a Sharon and Peggy scene but I'm not getting my hopes up. I also want Peggy to meet NuBen, see Ronnie in hospital. I don't think there will be any Peggy and Phil scenes :o

Only if the scenes she does are nescessary. Her last little appearance was completely pointless. As others gave said I'm only really interested in scenes with her family and I could deal with a Dot scene. |

There's absolutely no point in her return if she doesn't have scenes with the family. They wouldn't bring back Peggy and not have her have a showdown then make peace with Sharon would they? I imagine it will end with Peggy giving her blessing to Sharon as the head of the family. Edited by The Other Slater Cousin, 14 Feb 2015, 12:54.

| "I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver | |

It's hard to get too excited when it's only for one episode and it looks like she doesn't interact with Sharon or Phil. |

Yes I am! A lot. Peggy Mitchell will always be one of my favourite EE characters ever, she is an icon and Barbara Windsor is a legend, so looking forward to seeing what Peggy gets up to in her one episode stint. To me the 30th anniversary of EastEnders wouldn't have felt right without an appearance from the head of the Mitchell clan. Edited by Slater11, 14 Feb 2015, 14:33.

I reckon Peggy will return with Phil, and that's why she's come back. Phil told her about everything and she has comeback to put things right and speak to Dot. |

I wonder if Dot tells her what Roxy did with Ronnie's new husband and then gives Roxy a famous Mitchell telling off? Roxy's so emotionally dependent on other characters and they really need to show her actually looking after Amy more. |

Life your style. Same here, lets hope it's brief, then she can go back to her bingo ads.

Not bothered. The only one I'm looking forward to is Christian, and the flashback episode in particular. It's a first for EastEnders and I really enjoyed the episodes leading to Lucy's death, so it'll be good to see that carried on first hand as it were. |

Actually it's the third time we have had a flashback episode, but it has been a long time since the last one in 2003. |

Isn't it the first episode fully set in the past? As in no link in it at the beginning or end to the present? |

I hope not just getting scenes but the majority of her stuff is with Phil, Sharon and the other Mitchell's to me that is far more important than Mick or anyone else. Dot there is a reason but I am more interested in Peggy with her family to be honest. |

Your approval is neither desired nor required. Julia Smith "We decided to go for a realistic, fairly outspoken type of drama which could encompass stories about homosexuality, rape, unemployment, racial prejudice, etc., in a believable context. Above all, we wanted realism". | |
