A direct quote from the Susan Hill interview has me confused.

"Of course I’m a little disappointed there won’t be one last scene with Peggy and her boys." - does this, sound to anyone else, as if its her final ever appearance? Is it just a figure of speech, why can't there be, if the circumstances arise, be a Phil/Peggy/Grant scene in the future, or years to come?

I am sorry but I don't get all the fuss over her return, her last cameo was awful and so hammy. She is average at best and that is on a good day.

It means either Grant definitely isn't a surprise return or she is in with the bluffing and might know something more?

Ideally it would be nice for Peggy to have scenes with Sharon, Phil, Ben and Ronnie/Roxy. I'm not too bothered about seeing her with Lola, or Billy for that matter.

That was what I was thinking...

I'm not sure I think Grant will return with Peggy, but I was just thinking that the only way they would realistically be able to keep Grants return a secret would for it to be live. Peggy is doing one live scene. I know they are doing live things all week, but why else would they need to have live segments in the show all week if they aren't supposed to be surprises or twists they don't want being leaked. Essentially that's the reason they have decided to do a week of live episodes. I'm just speculating, but shouldn't give up hope. We never know until the time has passed.

I really enjoyed her last appearance as we didn't expect it. It will be good to see her back in the Vic though. It's no surprise the show went down hill after she left. Her and Pat in the Ice Cream van is still one of my all time favourite scenes! Haha

I'm no huge Peggy fan, in fact I hated all her previous one-episode returns, but even I think it's a shame we won't be seeing a Mitchell reunion.

If she does not have a substantial scene with Sharon, but does with Mick, there's something seriously wrong.
I couldn't agree more. One of the things which I've been pondering about this week is how the Peggy and Sharon scene(s) were going to play out considering how hostile Peggy was supposed to be the Sharon/Phil wedding - but now they might not even have a scene, or a scene of any worth? With all their history? That stinks.

I'd love to see Mick invite Peggy behind the bar one last time. Then Sharon walks in and Peggy says "Bet you never thought you'd see me again"...

I reckon Peggy will return with Phil, and that's why she's come back. Phil told her about everything and she has comeback to put things right and speak to Dot.
I wonder if Dot tells her what Roxy did with Ronnie's new husband and then gives Roxy a famous Mitchell telling off? Roxy's so emotionally dependent on other characters and they really need to show her actually looking after Amy more.
We need Aunt Sal for that!
Just livin' in perfect New Zealand!

Barbara is alright but could not care less about the character Peggy yes she has a big fanbase but she has never been part of the fabric why I love eastenders, the problem with Peggy character over the years is bshe is character we are meant to like and identify with as some sort of heroine but she is even as vile as Shirley who I could say in her early days I quiet liked.
