Whilst i'm still not a big fan of the character, she's actually been great recently and is slowly maturing. I like JJ and wish her well with her maternity leave, but I am glad to have a long rest from the character of Lauren and am hoping DTC uses this opportunity to bring some fellow young characters like Lola/Whitney etc to the fore. Shona/Danielle are really talented and haven't been given much to do, same for Jamie Borthwick/Jay. |

Agreed. At the time her pregnancy was announced, Lauren had been grating on me for a while so I was glad of the break, but I've enjoyed watching her lately. |

Utterly transformed as a character - for the better. |

I think Jacqueline is a decent actress, but I'm genuinely looking forward to having a break from Lauren. The Brannings are really annoying me lately as it happens. There's so much Lauren, Abi's been a spoilt brat for the past year and in the past few years the only storylines Max has had is with women. |

I don't have quite the same problem with her I did a year or so ago, because the character has grown up a bit and she's no longer the 'it' girl in quite the same way she was under LN, but my biggest issue is that Jac Jossa is simply a very weak actor. |

Credit where credit's due, Jacqueline has been quite good this year. Lauren has her stroppy moments still, but a lot of the time she's the mature one in the Branning clan. I love Stacey and now I'm now warming to Lauren. This show does crazy things. |

I hated for Lauren ages, jacqueline is a great actress but Lauren was so overused that I got sick of her. She's now matured into a brilliant character. And I'm actually going to miss her when she leaves and I certainly wouldn't have said a few years ago. I like her friendship with Stacey too |

I've actually always liked the character of Lauren and I think I will miss her slightly when she goes. |

In the last few weeks, JJ does appear to be looking goggled eyed at the camera a bit less. They always seem to film her from the same angles. The character seems to have finally grown up and matured a bit. Still happy to be living off Daddy though. I can see why they made her pregnant, what else is the character going to do? She considers the market below her, isnt qualified for anything and seems to have little inclination to do anything about getting some more education so she can get a job. at least Whitney with all her faults has tried to better herself. Its just a shame they didnt make her qualified as a pre-school or primary school teacher. Edited by Professor Plum, 14 Feb 2015, 20:39.

Well she can look at it this way then. Since this is Cindy I's second grandchild and the first one shared with Ian, Ian will be shitting himself and throwing money at this child with the magical Cindy I gene. So Lauren won't need to do anything because Ian will be throwing money at her to give her all the best things. I also expect her to be a girl and named Lucy Beale II (Branning if Peter is the killer) Edited by Amazee-Dayzee, 14 Feb 2015, 21:58.

I actually think she is the strongest actress when it comes to the younger generation on the show (although Maddy Hill is really strong too). She is definitely over-exposed but has really come into her own lately. I think after the break they should make her life a bit less miserable and her character may develop further. |

The actress has been working with better actors for the past couple of months - Jake Wood and Lacey Turner, to name a few - and she's upped her game. The windmill arms, the funny voices and the gurning has gone. She seems to have learned from those around her. That said, she works when she's not foisted on the viewers as the ingenue of note with a romance. Every bloke with whom they've tried to pair her hasn't worked - not David Witts, not Jamie Lomas and not Ben Hardy. There are female characters who don't need males to be relevant. |

I really wanna see how she fares with motherhood. Obviously none of the women on the show are gonna lose their babies, so I wonder how well he would do. This child is gonna be raised around a lot of self-entitlement and hypocriticalness, with Ian and Max as grandfathers and Cindy and Tanya as grandmothers (though I expect the Square's resident bovine to shoehorn herself into the role of grandma). |
