Sharon's future....

I'm over the moon that Kathy is back and I hope she is back for good. But what does this mean for Sharon? Phil and Kathy was in a serious relationship in the past and Phil probably loved Kathy more than Sharon and Shirley. If Sharon and Phil split up, what does this mean for her? She is close to Ian but will Ian side with Sharon or Kathy? I don't want her to be an isolated character again. Thoughts?

Nah, I think Sharon was the one for Phil. Sharon will stay as Ma Mitchell, but maybe will begin to feel isolated, with Kathy being the mother to her best friend and her step-son.

Ah I'm just so excited for Kathy to be back on the Square.
"I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver

I would say don't give them any ideas but considering all the ridiculousness this week has been why not. I was all for Sharon meeting her birth family. But if its all witness protection sci fi and other crap I will hope they never even looked at it.
I don't mind Kathy and Phil. Zombie Kathy and Phil on the other hand? This version apparently allows Phil to dictate whether she can contact her own children, even when she is begging him too. Let me know when Kathy is back no idea who this imposter was. Twin sister? Why not? More believable than anything else I can think of.
Your approval is neither desired nor required.

Julia Smith "We decided to go for a realistic, fairly outspoken type of drama which could encompass stories about homosexuality, rape, unemployment, racial prejudice, etc., in a believable context. Above all, we wanted realism".
