Emma and the Killer

I replayed the bits about Emma meeting the killer in the park and her phone calls to him. It's completely unbelievable that Emma would contact Bobby personally, agree to meet him in the park, look "up" from the bench where she was seated as though the killer was tall, etc. This was supposed to be a detective with a little boy being the suspect; nothing that happened between them is logical or believable, even in a soap world. Very disappointed with the entire reveal and the niggling questions that remain.

I'd like to think Emma suspected Jane, who then explained to Emma that it was Bobby.

To be fair I thought that was Jane? It actually fits with the texting scene later on.

She worked out it was Jane and when Jane met her she explained what Bobby had done. This is why Emma didn't immediately go to the police and was hesitant about the whole issue. There was never any interaction between Emma and Bobby. You may not like the reveal but the entire storyline corroborates it.

Obviously (IMO!), it was Jane she was communicating with regarding Bobby.

It does make sense - I was confused as to why Emma didn't just go straight to the police unless it was someone she was close to. But obviously she was conflicted about reporting a child.

I'm still not completely sure how she worked it out. Given the show's current knack for resurrecting the dead, perhaps she'll pop back and explain it. ;)

That's gonna be the show's new tagline for a while.
