Haha I didn't even catch that. Zoned out for most of the episode to be honest.

I think she'll come across as a better mother when he's older, it will be an interesting relationship that's for sure. It's a shame that he was made so unlikeable under Newman hopefully it can be rectified but I'm not too fussed that we just have to pretend he's upstairs or with a babysitter.

It was always inevitable that Sharon would have a boy I really can't imagine her with a daughter.

Mrs Patel?
"I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver

Denny is also in the 27th. (Sharon gets the Duff Duff again)
TWO episodes in one week. It's a miracle! I'm glad he's still played by Harry.
Do you think he might have had a haircut and grown about a foot since we last saw him?
Also I hope that now he's a bit older Sharon will start calling him Dennis instead of Denny!

I don't know, Denny does come across as a very young name but I feel that they use it to differentiate; Dennis never got called Den but I guess that may be because they were in the show at the same time.

I think my issue with Denny isn't his name. I don't think its a particular kids name, I know adults with that name. Nor do I care about his hair length. In 2015 I think it shows the sheer bigotry that we think boys have to look a certain way and girls the same. I think that's a sad state of affairs. Anyone obsessed with the way a child looks which isn't based on health and thinks its ok to discuss the way I have seen. I wont lie I find it creepy. Since when did we judge kids on the way they look, and why as adults would we care what interest could that possibly hold for an adult? He looks healthy that's the main thing.

However the actor is no good. I was hoping his offscreen time meant a recast. The kid is cute and all. But I am sure there are some cute blonde boys who could do a better job. And any recast the auditions should be done with Letitia to make sure there is a connection.
Sharon seems to have some fantastic bonds with all the kids apart from her own. Even Abi whom I cant stand is bearable with Sharon. I am sure it wouldn't be too hard to find a little lad who can do a better job. Doesn't have to be a stellar job just a better one. Only kid less bearable than him is Tiffany but luckily she has gone.

I was only joking about the hair Jade as it seems to be a big issue for lots of people, (not including myself) I would never judge anyone on their looks let alone a child. Just thought I'd clear that up.

I know you were. Sorry didn't read your post I wasn't referring to you. I have read somewhat more creepy comments. Nothing in this thread is what I was talking about. I read on another forum someone saying he was a girl, thus must be gay (somehow this was considered by the poster derogatory) amongst other things. To me that screamed bigotry and made me wonder why an adult would be so obsessed with the way a child looks to them as an adult. And it wasn't a one time occasion. That was more the vein of what I meant.

However I am a bit gutted he hasn't been recast. I was sure we were getting one since we didn't see him for ages.

I don't mind the name Denny, I don't think it's any different to Charlie, Billy, Alfie etc which are used by adult characters at the moment. It would have been interesting to see if they still called him Denny if Dennis and Den were still about.

I thought Harry was a good enough actor in the scene where he found out how Dennis died, which is probably his biggest scene so far. I'm happy with him staying for a while, at least until the age where he starts having his own storylines.

W/C 23rd of March Sharon says this to someone 'Shut your mouth' Why do I have a feeling it's Denny. Although would she really talk to him like that? Hmm not sure, possibly Phil?
What we do know is feisty Sharon is back!

I think the main issue is that due to his age you can't really have Denny play an major part in any storylines until he becomes a teenager I suspect he'll be used a bit more when Sharon finally meets her birth father; which is clearly going to happen.
