The only one of Carol's sons that I'd like to see again is dead.

I'd rather have Joe Swash back as Mickey. An underrated actor and character who was never used to his potential.

If it's for Jim's funeral I won't object.

How can he be an underrated actor when he was playing himself?

Lots of people play characters similar to themselves. They draw from real life to make their performance stronger. I don't see how that makes them a bad actor?

Joe was always fairly on point when actually given any material. Remember Mickey was a guest character who was then given a full time contract, then a family because he was popular. Joe Swash if anything is an exagerated version of Mickey. Mickey was never really given anything substantial and was wasted, like Kay is being now. Popular character, and actor with potential, lingering in the background.

With a bit of work, story and direction I think Mickey could have, and still could become a fairly important member of the cast. Oh and he's in an age range that is still struggling for members. Kush, Martin and Mickey could be an interesting male friendship group. Plus I always felt like Joe Swash oozed EastEnd and worked on the market so well, he had that old school Mike Reid/Pete Beale cockney thing going on.

Whereas Robbie was always a joke character, and didn't really work as a grown up.

Robbie still has his mum, his sister and his step-grandmother living in the Square, so a return (or just a visit) would not be far-fetched at all.

While I can't see very well how he'd fit in as a regular at the moment, I wouldn't object to the odd guest stint. If I remember correctly, he returned for Sonia and Martin's wedding, as well as for Bianca and Ricky's second wedding in 2010, although he and Sonia did miss Billie's funeral (but that was explained by them not having the cash to buy last-minute plane tickets, which I think was quite realistic).

Didn't they also have Sonia mention her sadness at missing it when she returned in 2011 for Bianca's exit? I think that was a nice touch. Natalie can really deliver.
"I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver

That doesn't mean much anymore. I mean we didn't technically see Billie die

I'm actually not against a return for Robbie, his sister and Mum still live on the Square so it is easy plausible. I'm with those who say he should DEFINITELY be at Jim's funeral. I'd rather see Robbie back over people like Grant and Cindy.

He could hang out and have scenes with Martin, Kush, Stacey, and Shabnam.

Hoping for something as fitting as Frank's.

I liked Sonia and Robbie together; they were so natural as siblings. They'd be great as adults, supporting each other as single parents, keeping their families close.

You know what would be a really orginal spoiler.
So and so returns or joins and has NO secret. Now that would be epic.
Your approval is neither desired nor required.

That's disgusting Jade. I wouldn't want to see that sort of filth on my screen.

Lets hope this secret is revealed quickly.

And lets hope its something half decent and not that he's simply got another dog. I'm still pretty annoyed that was considered midnight announcement worthy.
