Any guesses? Babe and Queenie Trott did something bad when Mick was born. Was it linked to Mick's birth or just happened at the same time? If we hadn't have had the baby swap in 2011, I would guess that Shirley's baby was swapped with Mick - maybe the baby died when Shirley gave birth? |

I reckon they were pimping out underage girls or something. It wouldn't be surprising; we saw how Queenie treated her own daughter. The question is how did Cora find out? If Stan knew, why did he never use it against Babe in their many arguments? Or refer to it when the truth about Mick's parentage came out? Stroke of genius having Queenie involved though, especially because it's already been established that Babe and Queenie were neighbours. Edited by Shamelessness, 24 Apr 2015, 20:36.

I'd say it's almost definitely something to do with children. There's been such a focus on Babe never having children and clearly seeing Sylvie and Stan's kids as her own. I can see this getting very dark. |
| "I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver | |

Ooh, could this link to Kat finally facing her own demons about childhood sexual abuse? Or imagine if Harry was one of Babe and Queenie's "clients"...

I also agree that whatever it is, I think it's going to be dark. |

... and then Kat being the least important character in the storyline. What year was Mick born? I forget how old he's meant to be. Edited by ChrissieW, 24 Apr 2015, 21:08.

Mick was born in 1977 when Shirley was 14 and Buster was 16. Lee was born in 1991 though that's been retconned I'm still going with the 14-year old Mick and Linda having sex in her mother's pub because it amuses me. If this was an American soap, I would imagine it coming out that Heather was actually Babe's daughter and Shirley's cousin. Somebody on DS said that Babe and Heather once looked a like. But then again, the brilliant minds on DS also tried to say that Heather was Mick's twin... |

My first thought was that they were doing caravan abortions but it's probably more likely to do with prostitution, drugs or trafficking. |

If they were doing that, wouldn't they just forced Shirley to let them do that rather than flinging her down a flight of stairs, which I wish Babe would do again? I say its prostitution. Maybe they knew Lorraine Stevens and was responsible for Mandy's conception. Hell, Babe is a drug dealer so I can see her be a pimp. Ronnie pimped out her sister to Aleks so I can also see her being a drug dealer. |

Heather was younger than Shirley she was born in 1967, so was Stan looking after a two year old Tina and possibly nine year old Heather too, while Sylvie, Babe and Queenie were holed up in Ramsgate doing the dark actions and also looking after Shirley? |

I agree with this. I reckon they pimped out Heather, who would have been around ten or twelve at the time. Stan must have told Cora. |

Mick was 38 last year. He was born in 1976. A lot of people are confused by his West Ham 77 shirt, but Mick will be 39 this year. |

Going from what I remember of Queenie, I think that in terms of general personality Queenie is worse than Babe. However that could easily be changed. I mean, we haven't seen Babe be as vile as Queenie was, yet. |

So it looks as though Heather's death is another move the current production team wishes never happened. Do they agree with anyone Kirkwood killed off?! I, for one, am glad we'll see this through Queenie's eyes. I can't really see a Heather return adding much. I'd be interested to see how Queenie feels about Heather's death though. |
