I did hear it was really up in the air for a while whether they were going to bring back Kathy or Heather... Gillian's lucky Cheryl turned it down. |
| "I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver | |

I am not sure if I can cope with another grotesque female character. Babe and Sylvie are borderline caricatural. |

Did we ever have a Cora/Heather relationship? I don't know if they ever shared scenes. |

Which would explain why Hev was such an infantile woman, even her dress sense was childlike. Plus of course, the self loathing and constant escape into a fantasy world involving George Michael; I wonder if this was her way of dealing with any abuse. The fact that Queenie constantly screamed 'pig' at her might also be a clue as to how she dehumanised her own child. Very dark if this is the case. |

How could Hev have returned? There was a body, her death witnessed by Jay and confirmed by Phil. |

Cora, Dot and Rose were making Heathers wedding dress. They were all very close. That was when Cora and Dot were good friends. |

I must say it confused me when I initially read your post too. But I did think it must be a joke. |

Wasn't there also a suggestion Heather's Dad abused her? I don't know about this child prostitution thing. Stan wouldn't keep quiet about that would he? Cora said she knew what happened in Ramsgate so I think this means it was one incident. She was also smiling. Would she really find taunting Babe about child prostitution an amusing secret to have on her? I don't know what it could be. Something Babe wouldn't want anyone to know. But also something Stan didn't feel the family needed to know. I don't know why but I'm thinking Babe and Queenie had a fling in Ramsgate. Edited by MuteBanana, 25 Apr 2015, 20:38.

Why would Sylvie threaten to call the police about Babe and Queenie having a fling? |

Good point. It just doesn't seem as dark as child prostitution with Stan and Cora's reactions. |

Stan was a humbug but I can't imagine he'd tolerate hurting kids |

Could be her dementia but then Babe wouldn't need to stop her as no crime would be committed. I doubt Cora would fell it blackmail worthy as what effect would it have. None of the carters would care. |

Cora isn't really blackmailing Babe though. It was more a casual threat. Very confused by all this. |

I wonder if whatever it was caused Heather's Dad to leave Heather and Queenie. I'm not sure how old Heather was when her Dad left but she always seemed to think fondly of him so can't have been that young. A Queenie return would be amazing. |

Calling it now: Stan was Heather's dad. Or Gavin. Gavin's everyone's dad. Edited by Mr Branning, 26 Apr 2015, 13:43.
