Lol at people trolling the scores already.
Most characters have got every score possible between 1 and 10 to be fair. There's a few unusually high or low ones, but I don't think they've affected it too much at all

I've counted all the results, and the first set are on their way.

Here's my analysis (without wanting to give much away)
Every single Carter has surprised me.
The Masoods are very well spread out.
There is one tie in the Mitchell family.
The Fox/Hubbard/Truemans are everywhere.
One of the Cokers has stunned me with their placing.
The Beale's are the family who have performed most similar to how I expected.
The Brannings/Jacksons have got some unexpected results, particularly the sisters.
The top ten is ridiculously close. To emphasise this, the difference between the average score of 10th and 1st is 1.14.
The difference between 1st and 54th is 7.15.
No character has got a whole number score.
We have four two-way ties, and one sensational FOUR way tie.
My guesses from the analysis:

- Danny and Kelly aren't in the top 5
- Nitin is the highest and Himesh is the lowest
- Jamie and Steve are tied
- Diane is the highest
- Jonny is the surpise Coker
- All the Beale actors are in the top 20
- Jacqueline is lower and Lorna is higher than expected

51st

51: ELLEN THOMAS
Average: 3.44

Highest Score: 7 (Blades' Receptionist, Blokeoptimistic)
Lowest Score: 0 (Mr. Right, Mrs Peel, Cam, Jack1997, Katie)
Character Average: 2.95
Character Result: 51st

I know we haven't seen much of her yet, but I haven't exactly been thrilled by her performances. She's in the unfortunate position of having almost all of her scenes with either Roger Sloman or Richard Blackwood, though. Having said that, if there was anyone that might make her look good, it'd be those two. And they haven't. I don't find her acting style good at all so far - just over the top and irritating. I don't get why she keeps being brought back to the show. Has she got some sort of hold over the BBC?

TaintedRose: Haven't seen much of her, but I'm not impressed with what I have seen.
*Betty*: Think she has potential but we haven't seen it yet.
Blades' Receptionist: I think she's good.
Mrs Peel: Axe, please
Mr. Right: Eye-wateringly bad.
Zachary: Haven't seen much of Claudette, but judging on her small scenes I don't think she is that bad.
Gangstress: I swear she used to be a pretty decent actress.
Cam: Second worst actor on the show.
MrSunshine: Hasn't done anything really but I have high hopes for her.
Jin: Ok.
Mitchells 42: Why do they keep bringing Thomas back? It's not even a case of not understanding the hype, she's just crap

50th

50: RICHARD BLACKWOOD
Average: 3.47

Highest Score: 7 (Katedahlia, King Billy)
Lowest Score: 0 (Mr. Right, See You Slater, Shamelessness)
Character Average: 4.87
Character Result: 34th

What have we done to deserve this? Why are we having to endure this? He really is so poor it's worrying. And there have been one or two moments where he's been okay, but then they get overshadowed by his stupid use of nicknames and his attempts to act hard and macho. Look, this isn't happening, and he's not good to watch. He makes me want to scream. And my scream would be better than his.

*Betty*: It just feels so half hearted.
Cam: Doesn't fit the 'hardman' role at all. As Panto as they come.
Planck: Absolutely appalling.
Blades' Receptionist: I'm still not sure about Richard yet, but I think he's going to be good once he's more settled into the role.
See You Slater: His scene when he removed the wedding ring has to be the WORST acting I have ever seen.
Mrs Peel: 1. And that's being generous. Take Kim and Ronnie out of the equation, and he's passable.
MrJames: I don't think he's as terrible as others do, but he is definitely quite bad in a lot of places. Maybe... just maybe... once he's settled in, he'll start realising he needs to do better
weewoman: storyline might be interesting, but is not helped by the cartoonish acting. Can't he be replaced by an animation?
TaintedRose: So bad I can't handle it.
MrSunshine: "Hey Kiiiiiiimmm" - and with that his fate was sealed. Not a future legendary villain but a future source of mockery. One of DTC future questions once no longer EP will be 'Vincent. What went wrong there?'
Katie: I'm still a bit undecided, I didn't think he was great at first but I feel he's improved recently.
Zachary: Do I really need to write a comment for him?
King Billy: I think I'm quite rare in that I don't mind him.
Jin: Sorry, I still see Richard Blackwood
Mr. Right: Richard Blackwood’s portrayal of Vincent makes the Goon Brothers look like the Kray twins. Hysterical. Minus points would be awarded if possible.
Shamelessness: a bad stunt casting who is dragging the show down with his cringeworthy attempts to act hard. I'd put him in the same bracket as Charlie Jones and Tony Discipline.
Mitchells 42: I actually don't mind Blackwood, I like the camp nature he brings to Vincent. It just doesn't necessarily work for the character they're writing.

49th

49: NATALIE CASSIDY
Average: 3.89

Highest Score: 8 (weewoman, *Betty*, NevermindMe)
Lowest Score: 0 (Mr. Right, Mrs Peel, Cam, Jack1997, See You Slater)
Character Average: 3.03
Character Result: 49th

How can it be that an actress once so admired can now be the source of so much frustration? I was chuffed when Cassidy said she was coming back. I liked the character of Sonia and I wanted to see what they would do with her. It's not worked so far, but I do believe that a lot of it is down to the awful writing for her. DTC doesn't care about Sonia I don't think. What I will say is that I have felt some sympathy for Sonia when she was having her self-image issues. More should've been made of that. Hope she improves soon, I'd hate for her to leave already.

MrJames: I don't think she's as bad as others think, but I'm also not in any rush to see her with heavier material that she has at the moment.
Mitchells 42: Lazy and has not transitioned well from being a child actor. Likely would not be there had Sonia not become a stalwart. Poor.
See You Slater: Fuck off back to the Health Lottery. Then fuck off some more.
MrSunshine: Has proven her worth in the past but his drowned under the terrible writing. DTC doesn't seem to get Sonia.
Mr. Right Axe her.
King Billy: Should not have come back.
Blades' Receptionist: Overall, she's good.
Cam: NatCas, you can't act. Go away.
Jin: Ok, better when she was younger.
Mrs Peel: Good child actress, but got out of her depth from adolescence onward. She should never have returned, and DTC should have the balls to axe her now. Bad delivery, awful actress playing an unlikeable character. No more about her tits, please.
holly I actually like Sonia, and I think whilst Natalie Cassidy seems a horrible person, she's an alright actress
*Betty*: Natalie is also a lazy actress. She can give good solid performances when the writing is good but since her return she has been poor and it feels like she is out of her depth sometimes. I don't just think this is down to the acting though, writing, story-lining and characterization is all at fault.
Zachary: Hahahahaha, as if.
TaintedRose: You can't even call what she does 'acting'.
Gangstress: Diabolical.
Katie: I thought she was very good when she was younger so I'm not quite sure what's happened, but I think she's one of the weakest actors at the moment.
weewoman: Yes, I loathe and despise Sonia, but she portrays this very well.

Interesting stuff. I think if the count was done next year, Richard and Ellen may be a lot higher.

I don't think I gave anyone zeroes either. Perhaps I would have if they were incapable of moving and talking.

So happy with the positions of Liam, Les, "Dennayyy!" and Vincent.

Roger Sloman definitely deserves that last spot. Just dreadful.

James and Natalie are weak actors but they do deserve to be given some slack. They were 10 years old for god's sake. It's not their fault they're somewhat lacking in the acting department compared to people who were actually cast specifically to perform complex teen/adult emotions. They can do it, they just need a bit more guidance in the form of a good script, a co-star who can pull them up and a director who knows how to get the best out of them.
Warning: Posts made by The Local Butcher may contain sarcasm, frustrated expressions of fatigue in the face of Eastenders' neverending insanity, desperate and ill-conceived attempts to be funny, controversial opinions and nuts. Not necessarily in that order.

To clarify, I put my votes down to overall performances since we first met the character. Natalie Cassidy and Letitia Dean got my votes based on Sharongate, Jamie's death, Dens return, Sonia's birth etc.

New characters like Paul score low from me because they're yet to prove themselves. I'm not going purely on what I saw in the previous episode.

I expect next to be Big Mo, Rebecca and Bobby.

I also didn't give any zeroes. Mostly because whilst there are some appalling actors there is some (minuscule) degree of acting involved.

So far I can absolutely relate to the results.
I'll be very happy if my 'holy trinity' - Lindsey Coulson, Diane Parish and Linda Henry - graces the top 5

I hope Nitin and Laurie make top 10 at least. Diane Parish, Lindsey Coulson and Linda Henry are cert for top 5 I think. Along with Steve McFadden and Jake Wood. But we'll see.
