*FOUR WAY TIE KLAXON* 39th 39: LISA HAMMOND Average: 5.08 ![]() Highest Score: 8 (Mitchells 42, weewoman) Lowest Score: 2 (Mr. Right, McFudd) Character Average: 5.18 Character Result: 32nd When you've got an average score of 5.08/10, you know that you're bang in the middle. Lisa Hammond is really hard to assess. We've never seen her have any particularly big scenes where we could say 'oh yeah, she nailed that' or 'no, she made a mess of that'. And because of this I think a lot of people struggled to award her anything other than a middle of the road score. Blades' Receptionist: She is one to watch. I like Donna and Lisa plays her very well. Mrs Peel: Axe please. Mitchells 42 Donna is vile but I think Hammond portrays her well Zachary: Not the best, but not the worst. Mr. Right: If she was the best they could find to play Donna I’d hate to see the others in contention for the part. TaintedRose: Don’t rate her, but she might surprise me one day. *Betty*: Haven't been blown away, but not disappointed either. MrSunshine: Hoping she's good but after a year I still haven't seen enouh to form an opinion. also 39th 39: JONNY LABEY Average: 5.08 ![]() Highest Score: 8 (Katedahlia, Blades' Receptionist) Lowest Score: 2 (Gangstress, eastend90) Character Average: N/A Character Result: N/A Now. I mentioned that one of the Cokers shocked me, and this is the one. I was expecting Labey to be much higher than this, partly because he got lots of positive reviews in his first week, but also because his early scores were very good (loads of 6s and 7s). His last few scores really hit him hard. I can see him ending up much higher in six months time. Zachary: Not that bad, I haven't seen much of him yet though to judge properly. holly: haven't seen enough to go on yet but seems okay Mitchells 42: Only a week on-screen, but I'm impressed so far. TaintedRose: So far so good. MrJames: Haven't seen enough of him yet to make any kind of long lasting judgement but he seems pretty decent so far. *Betty*: Has potential, need to see more from him. Mrs Peel: Good potential weewoman: cannot really judge as he is quite new, but so far I like his portrayal - not just a pretty face but a fine actor. MrSunshine: Hasn't done enough but hoping he's good. Mr. Right: Promising so far, he can only get better with time. Blades' Receptionist: I've been impressed by what I've seen so far. Katie: I haven't really seen enough of him yet, but I like him on first impressions still 39th 39: RICKY NORWOOD Average: 5.08 ![]() Highest Score: 8 (Jade, Sey) Lowest Score: 0 (Mr. Right) Character Average: 5.32 Character Result: 30th The popular opinion seems to be that Arthur>Fatboy. I actually like Ricky Norwood and I do think that he can come across really well sometimes. The problem is that we hardly ever see him in anything other than background scenes at the moment. I've noticed that sometimes he seems like he's holding a laugh in at times. Gangstress Can be very good Mitchells 42: I barely notice him anymore. Never impressed me. MrSunshine: Oh gawd. Terrible. Even when he's doing dramatic scenes he's hard to take seriously. He stares intensly and pauses a lot when being dramatic. 'Tricks' like these shouldn't be visible to the audience. Zachary: He is good when he's not portraying Fatboy but when he is portraying Arthur... if that makes sense lol. MrJames: He can really deliver when needed, but by the same token some of his flaws can be exposed. He's just so so. Mrs Peel: Time to go. Blades' Receptionist: Ricky has a lot of potential and has been good when he's had the chance to show it. Mr. Right: Get rid. weewoman: The guy needs better storylines with loads of different characters asap. TaintedRose: He's okay. Sometimes. *Betty*: Has never quite stood out enough. and he's 39th as well 39: ELIOT CARRINGTON Average: 5.08 ![]() Highest Score: 9 (Katedahlia, weewoman) Lowest Score: 1 (Jade, NevermindMe) Character Average: 3.95 Character Result: 45th The murdering little bastard has caused a fair bit of controversy here; he was one of the actors who got a huge range of scores - plenty of high and plenty of low. What I will say is that when you look at Amy and Denny, he's in a different league. And he was excellent during the Live - not many kids would've been trusted with that. Some people have complained that he doesn't show emotions, but I don't think he's meant to. I think he's doing a great job at the minute and I hope this is 'the' Bobby. King Billy: I think he's playing a future psychopath really well. Is that a compliment?! Blades' Receptionist: He's difficult to judge as he hasn't done much (apart from the obvious!) but he's good. Zachary: He has had like 3 scenes since he murdered Lucy... weewoman: For such a young age, he portrays a psychopathic kid really really well. TaintedRose: He was brilliant in Live Week, bless him. I’d like to think he’ll improve even more as he grows up. Mrs Peel: You gotta be good to pull off what he's doing Katie: I think he could be good in the future, but I don't think he's done enough to be higher at the moment. *Betty*: Child actor, did well in the live scenes, a bit emotionless at times. Shamelessness: doing really well with the huge responsibility of being Lucy's killer, a huge improvement on the previous Bobby. MrSunshine: Best child actor on the show. A huge improvement on his 'Ello guv'na. Chim chim cherree' predecessor. See You Slater: Not many child actors could've coped with the pressures of Live Week. Mr. Right: Done well so far, he’s only young and will no doubt improve with age. Mitchells 42: Very good young actor and clearly fairly intelligent as he's able to encapture and understand everything we're meant to be seeing with Bobby. One to watch. |

Wow! I was also expecting Jonny to be higher, but I also agree when it's said that in a few months time, the score would probably be a lot different. |

Very happy about Eliot. He performed live in front of 10 million people. And he did it very well. It feels like they've caught a real talent there. Lots of potential. |

When you think that Eliot is the same age as Charlie Jones' Ben, they are worlds apart. I think Bobby is supposed to be emotionless, after all he did kill his own sister and has been making sinister comments about Cindy. |

Can we just take a moment to accept that as a forum we view Ricky Norwood on the same scale as a ten year old? This is the point I'm making. We've each scored based on our perceptions of 1-10 but we all have different opinions on the level of quality that a 4 or a 5 can represent etc. |

I don't see it? I think it's the writing that's awful for him, not the acting. Give him a good script, such as his scenes with Mrs B and he's good. |

I haven't seen anything decent from him in 5 years. He's always hitting false notes. You can see him acting. Edited by MrSunshine, 25 Jun 2015, 20:30.

Aside from Jamie, I think Ricky is the best young male on the show. He's not as good as Bradley or Darren were but he is leagues ahead of the likes of Lee, Joey, Peter, Tyler and Anthony. |

Yes he probably is better than all you've listed (possibly besides Joey and Peter but they weren't exactly setting the screen allight either) but he's still awful. They were all just moreso. |

Starting to wish I had not voted now. Seems how we score will be criticised when this was just supposed to be fun. Maybe in future we just give the averages, rank and comments to stop all the undue unkindness? That way we can post what we gave if people are wondering then debate it? I love Ricky Norwood he is written terribly but there are times when he can truly move me. |

Your approval is neither desired nor required. Julia Smith "We decided to go for a realistic, fairly outspoken type of drama which could encompass stories about homosexuality, rape, unemployment, racial prejudice, etc., in a believable context. Above all, we wanted realism". | |

I wasn't criticising. It's just an opinion. I respect that other's are different. I just share why I disagree. |

It's really unfair for Daniel68 to be going to all this effort to produce this list and then the thread is littered with arguments. Can't we just keep it light-hearted? I didn't vote, but it's just meant to be a bit of fun. |

Yes. This. You haved summed up well the whole reason I hardly ever write anything on Walford Web. The whole thing is supposed to be for fun. But between others being criticized and my own experience with it...I just don't need that in my life. And the comments here about the votes make me actually embarrassed that my username is listed with the votes ( maybe I didnt read " the fine print" - did not know it would be put next to the results ). I am aware that I am not the only person who has had the brunt of someone's comments here but I guess maybe my skin is just not that thick. TBH I have had the worst year of my life...all kinds of things have been really bad and very very serious...and I for one do not come here to be put down for just being me. I do not need the added grief. So, I get what you are saying and I support it. And in case anyone is wondering, I am not a troll. Yes, I gave a big score for Tamwar. I like him. |

At the end of the day, acting is subjective. It's the same as singing. Let's use Cheryl Cole as an example. Some (me included, don't hate me for it) enjoy her music, some hate her and think she can't sing at all. Everyone has different opinions, and it can be argued one way or another. I'm not a fan of Matt Di Angelo's performances, but I know some people think he's a fantastic actor. |

Damn right. One of my favourite actors on the show but I totally respect that you think he's shit - that's the thing about acting, there's always going to be lots of opinions. I'm sure there's some people that think Linda Henry or Lindsey Coulson aren't that good. And that isn't wrong. Just like there were some people who thought Dexter was a good character or some people who thought 2013 was the best year yet. And neither of those things would be wrong, just an opinion. Now then, how about some more results? |
