F all detailed spoilers this week, which makes me think the arrest may not be so obvious and might not be Max... |

I'm genuinely loving the fact there are barely any spoilers for next week. As addictive as reading spoilers is, it's nice to be uncertain of what'll happen next week rather than "oh this argument on Monday becomes void by Friday because ___ and ___ make up by then." |

It does look like the arrest will be someone we won't expect, otherwise why have restricted episode spoilers sent out. I do love the fact this story is still going on over a year after the event and in very different ways for different characters at the heart of it. |

If Max is the arrest then I really hope he is released soon after and his exit is him either making a run for it or leaving because of the stigma attached to him over the Lucy case. I hate the idea of Ian and Jane allowing him to suffer in prison for a year, it's simply despicable. |

Perhaps Lola is the arrest. We seem to be forgetting that she lied about her alibi on Good Friday. That happened for a reason. |

However, I think it's all but confirmed to be Max. They wouldn't have got the unlicensed taxi driver back for no reason. Don't forget, Max helped Lucy to get Jake out of the cab and into his flat. |

Lucy's blood didn't spill on Max's shoe for no reason. |

Alison Newman says DI Keeble's happy with the arrest: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2/eastenders/news/a658374/eastenders-star-keeble-will-be-pleased-with-lucy-beale-arrest.html |

I'm just not sure how it can realistically be Max - surely Lauren would be on the first plane back to knock the Beales into touch if it was anyone from her family? I'd love it to be Denise, especially since she could genuinely believe she did it given that she attacked Lucy. Ian and Jane could be ready to go to the police but then change their mind once they hear Denise attacked Lucy just before she died. Everything's pointing to it being Max but then why have him arrested now when Jac Jossa clearly can't come back? I wouldn't be too surprised if it ended up being Ian either - would he allow himself to be sent to prison for his own son? I just feel there are many more interesting scenarios than Max and if the Beales let him rot in prison, they're beyond saving. |

I think it will be Max, but I don't want it to be. Denise would be a great one and would explain Libby's brief return in a few weeks time. Hmm... |

Except we also need to bear in mind that is perfect timing reguarding Jake Wood's upcoming break meaning Max is more than likely gonna be the flase arrest (but i'm also hoping to be proved wrong). And there's no way it will be Ian as all the Kathy stuff is about to hit the fan in the next 2 months. |

The only thing putting me off Denise being the arrest is that spoilers have said that it'll cause ructions for the Beales, Brannings and the Mitchells, and Denise doesn't really take much to do with the latter two. The taxi driver being present makes me think Max, but I'm kind of drifting towards Abi too seeing as she's living at the Mitchells. Ritchie Scott's appearing next week - could she be called in by Phil to be Abi's soliciter at interview? I can't see him doing it for Max... I could see this ending with Max stepping in to protect Abi by taking the blame though, as Tanya did for Lauren when she ran over Max. So ultimately we'll end up with the same questions being posed regarding whether Lauren would really wait so long to come flying back to the rescue, and how Ian and Jane can live with themselves for allowing an innocent person to go down for a crime their son committed. |
