My guess is Jake will remember being drunk and accidentally hitting Lucy? Marcus Christie is Max's lawyer for a reason, he'll twist every angle pointing at Max so it points at everyone else. Abi, Jane, the Mitchells... Anyone against him. Some new evidence will come to light, I.E Janes missing car maybe. If Lauren talks on the stand about Jane being her alibi she would show little mercy. The missing car would be pretty important evidence if Jake testifies that Max didn't kill Lucy. I think eventually the trial will be "suspended" in light of new found incidents that are just as suspicious as when Lucys blood was found on Max's shoes. Abis ripped shirt? The possesions with Ben and Jays fingerprints. Jane with falter about her alibi on the stand and be accussed of lying. So far we've seen how bent cops like Marsden Keeble and Cameron are, they all are at eachothers throats with some agenda. So my theory is the trial will be suspended because Marcus Christie is making such a brilliant case. BUT I think that Max will be allowed a period of time out on Bail, (before anyone tells me murder suspects aren't allowed on bail I believe that circumstances allow the judge to decide) but the security round Max will go haywire as Keeble and marsden clash over their views. (Maybe Marsden has her eye on the big cheese. The Mitchells) And because of this I think Max will escape conviction and do a runner for a year with the help of lauren and possible the Beales when Lauren blackmails them saying its either this or she tells the police the truth. Jake Wood said he's gonna out with a "bang". A dramatic exit which says cliff hanger more than a prison sentence. I think he'll return in a year when his name is cleared and everyone learns the truth about Lucy. Lauren returns again with Peter in tow on new years day when everyone sickeningly happy and party streamers are about just to deliver some much needed karma to people like Abi and Jane.. I think they should try and get someone that looks like Ben Hardy as he and Thomas Law looked nothing alike. Harry Reid and Josh Pascoe look quite similar and I always actually forget that Harry's only been in the role for a year. |

I'm actually looking forward to Lauren's return. It's hard to believe that Harry has only been Ben a year. He's been brilliant. I try to forgot about Charlie Jones and Josh Pascoe as Ben because they were both dreadful. |

Josh was the best Ben I think but I do really like Harry. |

So, unless she's already had the baby, Lauren will be 8 months pregnant when she returns. I'm guessing the baby comes early and her excuse for not returning sooner was that she wasn't fit to fly, though why she's made no contact when her dad is rotting in prison for a crime she knows he didn't commit is going to be harder to explain. |

I actually thought Pascoe did Ben really well too. He was totally believable, to say he's the worst Ben is foolish. Imagine Charlie Jones acting out the scenes where Ben killed Heather; a quite serious scene that introduced a major plotline could have ended up being 'slappin dahn' 2.0 Harry Reid has grown on me, Ben feels more human than ever before but in terms of making the character come across as genuinely dangerous, Joshua Pascoe did a wonderful job. The only issue, for me, was that he and Jamie Borthwick didn't have much chemistry or at least what they did have pails in comparison to Reid and Borthwick these days. |

I'm tempted to say she might not know, but then again even though Abi's not told her, we know Tanya knows where Max is and I can't imagine she wouldn't tell Lauren her father's in prison. Failing that Whitney or Carol. I can't imagine Peter would sit by and let Max go down either, especially considering he was the one most vocal about shopping Bobby in the first place I guess a decent excuse could be that when one is 8 months pregnant and presumably a bit short on money, New Zealand probably isn't the easiest place to get back from even if your father is on trial for murder. |

Josh's Ben was much... uglier. I don't really mean physically (although to be fair it probably helps Harry Reid's cause that he is physically attractive whereas Pascoe never was); I mean he was uglier in that he was just a lot more unsettling and strange than the current one. He walked a fine line between being creepy and disturbed, and vulnerable and childlike. I think people struggled with his interpretation because it was just so askew, and in quite a subtle way, kind of the antithesis of Steve John Shephard's more accessible cartoonish weirdness as Michael Moon (who I loved, by the way). I too, like Harry, and I think they've taken Ben in the right direction as a long-term character, but his Ben is your typical internalized homophobia faux hard-man thing and is really nothing new, a much more straightforward proposition than Pascoe's Ben, who was much more complex and delicate. I will always have a soft spot for Pascoe, although I also understand why many didn't like him. |

Lauren was growing into a very good young character before the maternity leave so I'll be glad to see her back and I hope they continue in the way they left of with her because she was progressing nicely. Once she's had the baby I hope she kicks Abi's arse all over the Square. |

So, um, how did she get on a minimum 24hour flight, 8+ months pregnant?? I would have thought it too risky. |

Depends on the airline. She would also have to have a letter from her doctor giving her permission to fly. |

Lauren didn't find out she was pregnant till February. If it wasn't confirmed how far along she was she could just be 7/7 and a half months. It's not implausable. |

True although that would mean she gives birth 2 months/6 weeks early. Although when are babies ever on time in Walford?! |

We know exactly when Louie was conceived... http://metro.co.uk/2015/02/03/never-mind-who-killed-lucy-beale-in-eastenders-cutest-couple-ever-lauren-and-peter-are-actually-getting-married-5048496/ |

I agree with what you are saying, but being so close to giving birth, I would have thought it too risky, even with a Drs permission. I went to USA last week, and there was a 7 week baby on board. The Mother said she didnt want to return home any earlier. Not sure when she arrived in NZ. |
