An amazing selection of winners, with EastEnders deservedly sweeping the board.

Thanks for hosting, I'd be more than happy to see these awards return next year.

Not bothered by this in the slightest to be honest. It's just one of many, many, many awards.

This must be a joke
If you always want what you can't have, what do you want when you can have anything?

I wasn't even aware "The Soapies" were a thing until the multiple topics posted on here about them.

I imagine that may be down to the fact it was only started this year.

Great stuff. Thanks for posting the results! A little disappointed in Emmerdale's lack of victories and Sally Dyvenor SO deserved funniest female! But I'm really pleased that Waterloo Road won best drama in it's final year, and utterly delighted for Mimi winning best young actor. If I had one slight suggestion, I'd like to see Doctors get some nominations in next year's awards. Thanks for posting and I'm looking forward to next year's!

Lisa Hammond funniest female? Am I missing something? I didn't even know she's supposed to be a comic character. :/

In my opinion, I agree. But based on public votes Lisa is the comic.

I don't watch other soaps but can certainly find myself in the EE winners. Harry Reid still hasn't convinced me but I am waiting to be swayed when Ben drops his Phil Mitchell imitation/tough guy act.
The 'funniest male/female' category always comes across as a bit forced since there are only a few candidates with comedy potential in soap and they offer 'light relief' at best.

Kathy Best Return? Ha Ha. I disagree with that one, but each to their own. I get some people were excited and the shock when she appeared, personally I don't care about her return, but I would argue that Stacey, Shabnam and Dean have turned out to be better returns in the long term thus far, but they've appeared before Kathy's actual return kicks off(Dean is arguable due to the decision they made to have him rape Linda I know).

The Dingles in Emmerdale are legends B-) .

I liked doing these awards and I would be happy to see them return but I think they are very biased in the way they were publicised on this site, where people are much more likely to vote for eastenders than any other soap, and this has very clearly shown in the results.

They were also publicised on Digital Spy forums. If there any other suggestions to any other places for advertise the awards, please let me know. I am glad you enjoyed the awards, however.

Ah okay, I don't know really of any other places, I just think if you can't place them on an Emmerdale/Coronation Street/ Hollyoaks centric site too, then maybe leave them off her too. Maybe I'm just being too picky.😀
