Dean isn't being depicted as 2D evil, Dean is evil, through and through. Even when he attempts to try to be good, he fails because he's only invested in himself and no one else. Even his mother walks on eggshells around him.

No one should sympathise or empathise with Dean. He's not that sort of character.

My son is in the kitchen eating a biscuit.
This is just my honest opinion and it's not supposed to be negative... but... if DTC likes Matt Di Angelo THAT much that he plans to keep him in for another year, he shouldn't have turned Dean into a rapist! He could've went another route, it's just left fans confused as to whether or not we're supposed to like Dean.

Actually, I didn't do that. I was, as you do frequently, expressing an opinion. You can disagree with me, but please don't infer that I am stating opinion as fact or telling others how to think when other people have been far guiltier of that on this forum than you or I. ;)

Quoting limited to 2 levels deep
Her detractors seem to bring her up a lot more than posters that people that actually like her.

And out of nowhere, Stacey was brought up in this discussion topic and that didn't seem to bother you in the slightest. I apologise if I'm coming across as "obnoxious" but I get the impression it only bothers you if forum posters speak about her in a positive light as you only replied to my post. You didn't even reply to the poster who brought her up in the first place.

I disagree that she is the greatest actress ever and I disagree that her acting is so unique that it warrants being referred to as "text book Lacey" as I've seen it referred. I don't think she is as bad as Mimi Keene and James Forde though. I also disagree with people that bring her up in topics such as the Jay thread. Why is the first thing people thought of was "Jay hasn't had a scene with Stacey"? Like Stacey is some kind of force in the show for which all characters must have some association with for them to be accepted.

I must stress however that these are merely my opinions and I understand that they won't be agreed with.

The original post simply pointed out "I would rather have Dean over Stacey". A simple opinion like yours and mine. I didn't reply to it because I agreed with it. You might think that strange but it would come across as very odd if I replied to every post I agreed with to point out that I agree (but with no additional information or opinion other than that).

However your reply to them did hold a response potential from me. You asked why Stacey is being brought into this. My comment was to point out that its not uncommon for unrelated characters to be brought into a topic. For example, I recently got involved in a discussion about Libby Fox and this secret of hers. It took me a while to suddenly remember that we were in a Lucy Beale topic and that Libby's involvement with Lucy was slim. The Carter family also make their way into a lot of topics not about them. Sunset Beach which is a show in itself makes its way onto topics. But all this without any kind of um-bridge being taken. I wanted to know why this gets a free pass as long as its not Stacey? Or to be more specific, not negative comments about Stacey.

Lastly its also worth noting that the original poster felt the need to start their message with "This is unpopular" and that during the course of this post I have had to beat it into the ground that this is simply my opinion. That to me speaks volumes for the controversy that comes with simply not seeing Stacey or Lacey in the way others do. The fact we have to continually point out that it is just opinion in order to "cover ourselves".

I actually don't feel your post was obnoxious. You raised a view point which I am all too happy to answer. And at least you're not telling me to "chill", or that I'm being "offensive", or following me round the forums leaving stroppy replies to other posts I make or even sending me emails telling me what I can do with my grandfather's remains :D So its all good to me.
