I don't know if I can deal with Marcus, Ritchie, Marsden and Keeble all in the show at the same time.

It's amazing how, over the years, Eastenders producers have made these recurring guest characters become so popular (at least on this forum).

I'm still waiting for Mrs Patel to return as a recurring character.

I'm sure she'll crop up again at some point under DTC.

If she does I think I'll cry happy tears, like when Kathy stepped out of that taxi, and those 9 years of denial about her death all became worth it.

Small cast list for Tuesday 18th, http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0674kld

Look at the Cokers casually inserting themselves amongst those big names.

And yep, all signs seem to pointing towards Sharon being the next to discover who really killed Lucy...

I love that Les and spam are the shows main players. As a pair, I actually really like them.

If Queen Sharon is the next to find out, I'll be so happy.

It's so weird how much I hated Sharon 2012-2013 and she's one of my absolute favourite characters now.

When Sharon told Carol that she knew another solicitor, she meant Margaret, in the face of Phil refusing to contact Ritchie. She didn't mean Marcus, although I'm wondering why he's returning.

Roger Sloman is shit, but he's our shit. There's something so oddly endearing about him.

The Cokers are settling in nicely.
"I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver

Maybe he's been working for Gavin all along? He could've been pulling Den's strings on Gavin's behalf when they conned Sam out of the Mitchell empire in 2004.

It's intriguing having Ritchie, Marcus and Margaret all around at the same time.

Quite possible considering Marcus ran off with Money abroad but is now in the UK under a new name.

I'm exactly the same. I spent pretty much most of 2012-13 rolling my eyes at Sharon and wishing Letitia Dean would do a Julie Goodyear and decide that she couldn't cope with the schedule and quit, now I absolutely love her. DTC has done wonders with her, she's fiercely protective of her family but is also caring and sympathetic. She's settling into a matriarchal role quite nicely.

I doubt that and it may be one retcon too many. Could be the info Den used to blackmail Marcus was to do with Gavin and Kathy but I like to think the plan to rob the Mitchells was all them. The episode where Sam finds out what has happened is one of my all time favourites and I think better than the Christmas day episode that followed. Not just because of that storyline but also the exit of Paul Truman.

But I do now wonder if Gavin had something to do with Marcus suddenly coming back to the UK after all that.

Marcus Christie is credited again on Friday 21st August. I think he's involved in Kathy and Gavin's storyline.

Denny's back too - appearing in both Thursday and Friday, ready to drop the bombshell that he was eating cake in the kitchen this time.

I've picked and choosed the episodes that I've watched in the last few months, but I'm fully on board with this week. I'm still amazed at how much they are successfully able to make out of the Lucy story.

I literally only watch if the Sharon, Stacey, Jay, Carol or Kathy are mentioned in the spoilers these days

EastEnders feels so uneven at the moment, like two totally different programmes. You've got the Mitchell/Beale/Branning/Startin' crew who are never ever dull but then the other half of the time we seem to be focusing on the Cokers/Hubbards who are very, very Newman-esque and bore me.

I don't see the Cokers or Hubbards as Newman-sque or a problem to the show because there's a sense of an actual long-term plan for them instead of going around in circles which all producers are guilty of doing, but the most blatant case of this currently is with Ronnie and Roxy it doesn't help that Samantha Womack can't be bothered to act now.

On Marcus Christie having been Gavin Sullivan's inside man so to speak would an epic reveal and I'd be all for it.

It have to be separate to the reason the death was faked to really make sense through. I suspect it might have been him who told, or arranged someone to tell, Phil during his prison gap about Kathy being alive or wanting to get in touch.
